Starscream x Prowl hear me out please please please I've got THOUGHTS I've got OPINIONS I technically even have like half a fic but uhhh (shoves that away).

I'm gonna start trope-y and 'why not' and gradually touch on other reasons. First off, they match. 2nd in command, 2nd in command. There's jokes about sets to be made because megop and Soundwave x Jazz isn't super uncommon.

There's similarities with each other they'd never want to confront but it'd be kind of fun to force them to anyways. Both of them have complicated relationships with their boss (if not explicitly hostile, IDW) and are schemers. They've got plans for their plans and no one else needs to know about them.

I do genuinely think they'd hate each other. Could very much be an enemies to begrudgingly cooperative to Something situation. I'm pretty sure they'd dodge working together, but if their work ever fell into the others orbit they'd be annoyed by it working so well.

Prowl's opinion of Starscream is.. bad. After the war, he tracks every little movement he does to predict when everything is going to fall apart again, and that forces him to realize that Starscream is, ugh, competent at some things.

Starscream thinks the idea of Prowl cooperating with him is hilarious because it's so stupid it's no longer even insulting. But Prowl, I think, has kinda got a need to be involved. Why would he sabotage something he's benefiting from?

That's the point where you throw in some conflict that throws Starscream and Prowl off their pedes for a moment. Neither of them are happy, and depending on what you choose they'd be trying to desperately shove their walls up around each other so they couldn't find another weakness.

If this post does well and some of y'all tell me your thoughts about the ship, I'll make a second post with my filthier thoughts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Starscream X Prowl plzzz

Prowl likes spreadsheets. Oddly, Starscream does too. They bond over this.

Starscream and Prowl are forcefully married after crashing on an alien planet in what the locals think is a sign from the Gods before being given a far too small room with only one bed. Thats not even the worst thing to happen this week.

Doorwings and airplane wings are oddly similarly.

I dont think prowl and Starscream would go out of their way to create a sparkling like it’s js not in their nature.

So in my version like the way to “make a child” is in a form of spark splicing(?)

Basically you take parts of you and your partner’s spark and combine it to make a new spark. Then you either put it in a premade body or let it take form on its own.

It’s a really difficult process so mechs don’t do it often.

She was created during the war near the end of it. Basicalllyyyy prowl was kidnapped by shcokwave who wanted to make a supierior soldier but he was kinda going against Megatron bc he didn’t find him logical so this was all behind his back.

He couldn’t use his own spark bc it wasn’t compatible(difficult process plus…. empurata), soundwave was also incompatible. Starscream’s spark was though.

At this point in time(in my au) Starscream is working with prowl(under wraps) to come up with a way to defeat Megatron. Sooooo

Shockwave kidnapped prowl bc prowl is really like the ideal soldier, he finds the others incompetent, and he was already working with Starscream.

Starscream doesn’t agree with this in the slightest. And prowl obviously doesn’t agree to it either. Since both sparks are kinda rejecting the process she comes out a little… weird(idk how to convey that in drawings yet)

That doesn’t matter to shockwave because he wants to create a war machine.

Prowl hates her(at first). She is the very last thing he would want to create and is the embodiment of what he lost, that being control.

Starscream tries to dislike her, but he falls in love LOL. He has very very high expectations of her though so he’s really hard on her.

After the war, she is kinda still in her early life stages. She needs guidance and while Starscream is there…. He isn’t the best parent. She ends up finding prowl.

there’s a lot more and it was supposed to be a lot more… angsty and horror esk but I decided I kinda want them to be happy in their own way.

So prowl and Starscream have to take care of a young child while dealing with the politics of Cybertron and they’re both terrible parents
