Our paper titled ‘Effects of Exercise on Electroencephalography-Recorded Neural Oscillations: A Systematic Review’ is available on a gold open-access basis from ‘International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology’ (IRSEP).

In Figure 1, you can see the exercise modalities that were featured in this systematic review, which was first-authored by Leti Hosang.

Physiological Psychology

Hey Studyblrs!

Did you know: 

Psychophysiology examines the way psychological activities lead to physiological responses. Physiological psychology does the opposite. It examines the physiological mechanisms which lead to psychological activity.

This semester I am studying Physiological Psychology, and I will be sharing the publicly available links so that you can learn with me.

This may be helpful to have a look at if you’re wanting to study Psychology. I have been told, and it is common knowledge, that this is one of the classes that Psych students drop. Usually this one, and Statistics. 

A lot of people expect it to be like counselling therapy, and although it can be in some topics, mostly it is a holistic view rather then just therapy.

I start on the 27th (first week back YAY!) and I will post the links starting from then.

Definitions for “Psychophysiology” differ, but to say the psyche/soul/mind/spirit/cognition is embodied helps to not separate the mind and body, consciousness and the world, the spiritual and the material.

Initially we separate in order to better understand who and what we are and how things work, but eventually we must weave the strands of our understanding back into a one whole, that we in essence are not two.
