hey, i wanted to say that evelyn is a gender neutral name! its more popular as a girls name now, but there are tons of famous men named it too, including evelyn waugh, who was actually probably gay too.

i wanted to ask (if youre okay with answering ofc!!), i always see if youre not d/Deaf (very specifically they always say d/Deaf or at least hoh) you shouldnt make your own name signs, but i use asl because i have to force myself to be verbal and i think it would be a lot easier and healthier because of that and other things and its not like im just an interpreter or anything but i am about 90% hearing (tinnitus) so should i not make a name sign for myself? thank you so much and have a nice day!

Hi! I’ll still recommend getting input from deaf people who are fluent in sign language. Even though I am deaf myself, when I’ve picked out my own sign name for myself, I seeked approval from deaf friends. I’m native fluent ASL user but I had to run by other deaf people to make sure my name is grammatically correct. So, I’d suggest you to ask other deaf people to verify that your sign name is fine.

hey im g*psy danger (i went by danger once i had a say in it and do now) from pacific rim, specifically an au where the jaegers kind of evolved to be sentient but we werent built to speak so it was only after we figured out how to use radios that we could. we were kind of like the lions in voltron? like we could work on our own, we just worked better with pilots. im looking for (honestly any, not just my canon) raleigh, yancy, mako, and stacker especially. is it like kind of a normal thing to regret your chosen name or wish you had a different one? i go by chester irl and the guy i named myself after just died, plus i chose it when i was like 11. i just dont really like it any more? i go by a totally different name online. im really fine with being "stuck with" my name now, cis people kind of are too, i just want to know if its normal. thank you!

i think it’s totally normal to regret a chosen name!! names are a big responsibility and choosing ur own can be scary!! thats why when it’s chosen by someone else we can just kinda blame them if we don’t like it but choosing ur own shifts the responsibility to urself.

u could always switch to ur online name IRL? u can get a name change and just ask ppl to use a different name! i know plenty of cis ppl who go by completely different names to their legal names, whether that’s because of language differences or just general preference!

i hope ur doing okay and u find a way to feel more comfortable in this situation

URGENT momma my shoulder is mostly dislocated i think, its from being on crutches + i have ehlers danlos so i just dislocate things a lot. i dont know whether or not i should go to the emergency room/urgent care or not, last time i went (i thought id dislocated my hip) i just had fibro pain and they couldnt do anything for me. im in so much pain im crying on and off and im almost throwing up. i just dont know if i should go or not, and idk if they can help me.

You should probably go, just in case it is dislocated. It’s worth a try.

never trust a (cis) doctor who kicks you out of the transgender clinic for using it/its pronouns (since ive gotten over the trauma of having her entire staff come in while she told me i, a trans and nonbinary then 12 year old, was transphobic because of my pronouns and gender, i realized i got kicked out literally for transgending too much)
