These fried cod sandwiches are made in the style of pub food. They are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. Great for a quick and tasty seafood meal!
Ingredients: 4 cod fillets. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup beer. 1 egg. Vegetable oil for frying. 4 sandwich buns. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Tartar sauce.
Instructions: Salt and pepper should be mixed with the flour in a bowl. Mix the beer and egg into the flour until it's smooth. In a deep fryer or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil to 375F 190C. Make sure the cod fillets are evenly covered in the batter as you dip them in it. Carefully put the cod fillets in the hot oil. Fry for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy. Take the cod out of the oil and let it drain on paper towels. If you want to, toast the sandwich buns. On the bottom half of each bun, put lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes. Then, put fried cod fillets on top of each bun. Put the fish fillets on top of the buns and spread tartar sauce on the top half of the buns. Enjoy while hot!
