I make these pumpkin buns once a year, because they are time-consuming. They've got pumpkin paste in the middle and they're not too sweet and very tasty. Thanksgiving was invented in the 1860s because NYC retailers wanted an official start to the holiday shopping season. The "first Thanksgiving" with the Pilgrims and Indians is a myth created to sell stuff. Keep traditions that bring you joy, drop the ones that do not serve you.
