Thursday 23rd September
Lessons today:
• maths from 9:15 until 12:45
• chemistry from 12:45 until 14:00
• maths from 15:30 until 16:30
I got into college at around 8:45 this morning so I could go the the helpzone to sort out some timetable clashes that have come up, then I grabbed a coffee and headed to my first maths class where we recapped some basic quadratic functions before moving on to some more advanced questions. In my chemistry class we were just working on some pretty simple equations to get re-aquainted with valency in terms of formulae. During my free period I sat in the library and read through some pages in my textbook on organelles before finishing up on my homework. Then in my last maths session of the day we did some more work on quadratics, this time we looked more into proof questions which was really interesting; also my teacher brought us all biscuits which was really nice!

Okay so call me a forgetful dork but I took notes while studying for the math section of the SAT with Khan Academy yesterday

If there was ever any doubt that I am a complete and utter nerd, I think the fact that I am practicing Matrices, Algebra, and Interest just for fun (and enjoying it!) means that all doubt has been thoroughly eradicated.

My teacher didn't actually turn up to my 9:15 class so I took the opportunity to study quadratics before we move onto another topic. Then I met my friends to grab some lunch and we went over flashcards together for each of our subjects to focus on active recall. Very helpfully, my chemistry teacher didn't turn up either, so I headed to the library with some friends and we worked on our understanding of moles in more advanced chemical equations. My final lesson of the day was maths and my teacher did in fact show up this time! We did some revision of the topics we taught ourselves this morning and then did some exam questions before heading home. I plan to bring my flashcards with me to rehersals tonight to do some quiet revision in my breaks for my biology test tomorrow.
