Queer Design and Construction Network

To celebrate pride month & my favorite supernatural character @cagetraumasam and me (@samwinchesterlesbian) decided to make a network to share all of our LGBT+ headcanons for Sam.

There’s no need to follow us, but if you like queer!sam we both have some of that on our blogs, sooooo there’s that!

Rules:

No hate in the tag or on the discord! You don’t have to like every ship, every headcanon and every character, but you don’t get to hate on any of them in this shared space.

No underage nsfw content. This is a hard no for both of us and so we have to exclude it.

Tag correctly. Everything will be tagged on the blog, so if you post in the tag I would ask you to tag correctly there as well to make it a safe experience for everyone who wants to go through that tag. We want this to be as safe as a space as we can create without having to blanket ban ships or dark fic, so it is very important that you respect this.

We are also still looking for a discord mod, who could maybe take care of the Samifer and Wincest channels there, as they are ships both of us are not entirely comfortable with and we would prefer not to have to mod those channels. Somebody for tumblr would also be helpful, but is not as necessary. Please message me if you feel up to this!

please help me come up with creative names for an LGBT+ network? we’re kind of lost so I figured I’d crowd-source this!

it has to be inclusive, and it cannot contain the words proud or pride (for reasons), and bonus points if it’s modern and can be used in a professional setting

just some keywords would be super helpful too (already got pink and rainbow)

are you queer? do you like superheroes? do you think your fave superheroes are also queer? do you get Tired of explaining to The Straights that YES, every character you like is queer and NO, that’s not just you projecting your sexuality or gender onto a character you relate to, and even though you very rarely ever see anyone who shares that identity represented in popular media, the writers havent ever really touched on it so it’s not COMPLETELY out of the realm of possibility... if so ur in the right place! join my network pls

Queued up a load of helpful organising tips. Just popping in here to say, whilst a lot of these tips are catered towards workplace organising, there is no reason they can't be applied to any sort of community organising.

I've used my knowledge of workplace organising to create networks of disabled and queer artists, neurodivergent twitch streamers, something I've affectionately called the "Community Adventurers Guild", and much more.

Additionally, these techniques can be applied pretty broadly! I know I've used a lot of the organisational skills I learned from workplace organising in my own personal life!
