Instead of using all my energy on even thinking about that goddamn unnecessary Harry Potter reboot show in which the most of the money going into it is gonna make JKR even more mega big rich, in she’ll use said money in her very big pockets to basically fund hate campaigns that are basically trying to eradicate trans and gender diverse people from public life……….
…..I will instead use my energy to focus on positive things, specifically on things and media created by, written by and starring trans, gender diverse and queer people.
Like there’s this very cool British tv sitcom that’s just been recently released on ITV called “Transaction”, created by, written by and starring British trans comedian Jordan Gray, in which the show’s about a trans supermarket employee who’s hired by said supermarket for diversity purposes, but then silly and surreal hijinks occur.
I heard the show’s pretty good, so I might check it out soon (maybe tomorrow cuz I have nothing else to do tomorrow lol, plus it’d be cool to do smth other than doom scrolling on my phone lol. Also cuz I NEED to watch more queer stuff nglllll)

This book is simply a masterclass in writing and storytelling. It does literally everything perfectly: it draws you in from the very first line; it has amazing, poem-like prose that flows and evokes gorgeous images and multi-sensory sensations in the reader; it has an interesting and complex set up and world-building, presented in a way that makes it seem novel even though the idea of multiple timelines and worlds has already been explored many times; it has intriguing, three-dimensional characters that feel human even through their other-worldliness; and it has a beautiful relationship that blossoms and develops organically and beautifully through the pages, hitting the reader with its gut-wrenching raw emotions and despair, as much as it hits the characters themselves.
You can pick any word in existence to describe gorgeous, ethereal and emotional things and apply them to this story and they would fit perfectly, as it is all those things and more. As the meme used to say: "this story changed my brain chemistry", and did it for the better, setting a bar to compare not only other stories, but my own writing, too.
I specially love the story-telling because it made me see it is possible and totally fair to write a book with very little dialogue, which hinges mostly on description and stream of consciousness and letters to send its message across. As someone that greatly prefers to write stream of consciousness over heavy exposition and dialogue, it was really an eye-opener and opened up a world of possibilities to me I thought were not possible to achieve on mainstream writing.
It's gorgeous, it's perfect, it's everything, and I think everyone should read this book and get the chance to fall in love with its cadence and with Red and Blue as much I did.

Wow Anon what a request! Were you thinking tv shows? movies? What have you seen that you loved? hated? With a broad request like that I picked out the key words - sensual, devoted, real-romance - and picked some of my favourites.
Century of Love Now this is a show focused entirely on love. San waits 100 years for his lover to be reincarnated, and meets them in Vee - but is he the true reincarnation? A story about if love is destined or chosen.
The Eighth Sense I think one of the most creatively and beautifuly shot shows. It's not just focused on romance, but also on trauma and forgiveness.
Blocco 181 Now this show is more a crime drama rather than romance, but if you manage to find a way to watch, I do love how three people from entirely different backgrounds come together and how their devotion to each other puts them in conflict with their own families. (their story also has similarities to 3 Will Be Free, which I also love)
The Time of Fever I only just watched this recently, and it definitely meets the mark for sensual, beautifully shot, not quite a full romance however as it’s a prequel show.
Sing my Crush A joy to watch from start to finish, light hearted and all romance. Im Han Tae's devotion is a sight to behold.
Wedding Plan This is very light hearted compared to some of the other ones, but the romance!! The drama!! the way they look at eachother! (and I cried the entire last episode from how happy I was)
Trigonometry Was completely blown away by this show. I have so many emotions just thinking about it. the conflicts, the stories, the life events, that all happen as we follow these three characters.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire an absolute masterpiece, there are a million more eloquent reviews out there than what i could write, but a must watch.
Lightning round/wildcards
Oyei and Cher - the side couple in Wandee Goodday - they captured my heart from episode 1.
Watashi no shiawase na kekkon/My Happy Marriage - a straight couple yes, but the sheer devotion and love they have for eachother (and they don’t even kiss)
Young Royals - a three season masterpiece
I loved the triad in the Gossip Girl reboot, and was devastated when they broke them up at the end of season 2 in order to get them back together in s3, but it was never renewed.
Koisenu Futari / Two people who can't fall in love - queer - but focuses on the journey of two characters at different points in their asexuality journey and their friendship.

You should watch her stuff!!! She’s an amazing thing-about-things maker who legit changed my life and helped me feel joy in the mundane again.
