With the queerphobia dust-up in the fandom the last few days, I was inspired to put together a list of a bunch of queer romance novels that I've read in the last couple months and have liked. Some are adult and some YA. I've added the content warnings that I can remember.

If you like the idea of a 1980s romance between an later-in-life-coming-out lesbian and her sweetheart of a vampire, please consider reading this stand alone novella. It is ‘set in a series’ but that’s just in case you like the world so you have other things to do when you’re done. ;-)

Review: A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine

Why did I want to read? This science fiction book has a main f/f pairing, and after finishing This is How You Lose the Time War I wanted more sapphic speculative in my life.

Gosh I love making these little marketing images for Instagram. They make me feel so fancy. 

Upcycle My Heart is the second novel in my Quaint City series. The series itself is a collection of standalone, low conflict stories set in the fictional town of Quaint City. I want to keep the stories standalone but with the same cast of characters because I wanted the feeling of checking in on your friends from time to time. Characters from the first book, Seams a Bit Queer, will appear in Upcycle My Heart.

The main character Denver goes through some gender questioning that I have also gone through. They’re such a sweetheart, and I based a lot of the things they go through in the novel on things I’ve also gone through. Luckily for Denver, Celia is there to help them believe in their own creativity.
