one of the goofy aah things about Midas Queue56 is that i truely just forced his block pallete--

so i recently bought a book on Victorian flower language because i have been interested in it ever since the pelant arc on bones mentioned it.
after i bought it, i decided to look into some of the minecraft flowers that were in there, and realized that some of the sherb versions' favorite flowers had some really interesting meaning that was really coded, so i decided to write about a few of the most coded ones
Ashril: White Tulip
While the book did not mention specifically white tulips, tulips mean to declare your love, which would make sense with Ashril, who was the first Sherb version we saw with a healthy relationship, despite how it ended. All of this is not to even mention the whole funeral flower thing.
Icarus: Blue Orchid
Again, the book only mentions just orchids, but they mean wealth and beauty, with an emphasis on wealth, which does fit with the whole prince thing, plus the beauty does fit Isla, who was called orchid by Enderian.
Ripley: Chrysanthemum
This is the only that I scream about, because chrysanthemums mean condolences. AND YOU KNOW, RIPLEY IS THE ONE THAT LITERALLY DIED!!! (can you tell im normal about this)
Midas: Lily of the Valley
This is the one that I first looked at and made me want to look up all the other ones, because lily of the valleys mean return to happiness, which is what happened when Midas made the queue. And also the fact that they named their first companion after coming back from the worldport Lily makes me want to cry.
Strix: Lavender
This one I feal, as a person allergic to lavender, this one means distrust. This is so fitting for someone stuck in a game that is doing sketchy shit. Especially with the cursed rings and the eye and all of the missing texture all around. There is not a lot around them that they can trust.
that is all the ones that feel especially coded, there are also some that are a bit coded, and some that are completely wrong or not even close, but i just really wanted to talk about these because they are currently occupying so much of my brain space. i know they werent really meant to mean anything, but i just had to go feral over these. especially ripleys. i scream over theirs in particular
I HAVE A QUEUE56 BLORBO!
This is Ailbhe (Al-va. It's Irish.) She fishes a lot and has a little shop near spawn.
yall ever think about Midas?
you ever think about them living vicariously through Icarus? Loving people they will never have? Wanting people they will never know? Having more memories of a family they're not even a part of? Not remembering their own father, who was good and who cared and who loved their family more than anything, but knowing Fable, in all of his awfulness? Knowing Rae and the other versions of him better than their own brother? Knowing other versions of themself better than they know themself? Knowing only to base their own world off of ones they've seen? How they have to relearn their favorite flower, color, and everything about themself?
Because I do. A lot.
first its candy, then its gum, then its bad, then its gone.
right now, its candy. its good, Midas feels good, its different but it feels good. everything is more colorful, more tasteful. sweeter. nicer.
then, its gonna be gum. the middle point. still sweet, just... something is missing. something changed, something is different, but in the wrong way. they could try to add more candy, but itll always become gum.
then its bad. the bubble bursts. the magic is gone. the sweetness disappears, replaced by a bad taste that lingers in Midas.
and then its gone. its gone completly, the aftertaste gone, leaving an empty husk of the god. or maybe freeing them from the weird mania for the better. or maybe both
