My Scott and Alec did NOT get along. Scott sort of resented Alec more or less planning out his life for him (their informal N7 training, joining the Alliance, etc) and had a rebellious streak a mile wide as a kid/teen, so they used to butt heads A LOT. Scott and Sara are extremely close, though. Sara got along much better with their father (Alec was less hard on her, maybe because she never fought against him as much) and was always playing mediator between them.

Your comment makes me wonder exactly how he trained them. Did he train them together, one on one? Would he say “Good job” to the sister, not to the brother one day? And the opposite the next? 

And it’s already placing expectations. We don’t know if the siblings wanted it or asked for the training, right? Like if my dad brings me to a gym to do some serious N7 exercices I’ll be like... “Dad I love you but I want to do what I want to do.”

(And I feel for your Sara! It’s always hard for the kid who has to play mediator. I do that sometimes and it’s a lot of responsibility. You have to understand both sides and you also know that if you say something wrong, you can create more tension and fights.)

Heyo! I'm looking for a Mass Effect fanartist who might be up for doing a commission for me (willing to pay, of course!). I am in desperate need some Scott Ryder/James Vega fanart to maybe go with my fic series but no idea how to go about finding someone to make it. Seriously wtf. There are 3 Sara ones and 2 Peebee ones and the freaking Archon... but NONE of Scott, Cora, Vetra, or Drack? WHY??

I don’t think they realize how many people would buy a Vetra one.
