========================================= SUNRISE CRACKS ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• From my trip to Death Valley . Wonderful mud cracks at Furnace Creek. These sought after features of Death Valley create an interesting element in the scenery, and to top off the image, we were presented beautiful pastel colors at sunrise. . I shot many angles of these but I really love this up close and personal perspective of the cracks. ========================================== ALIEN CRASH LANDING ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• From #ExpeditionDeathValley2019 We traveled to the #RacetrackPlaya to witness the amazing #RacingRocks. . We arrived early to scout the area and find the most photogenic rocks...lol . The sunset that evening lacked luster but paved the way for a beautiful evening under the stars. . I don’t get to do much #astrophotography and after fumbling around with several shots and getting aggravated, my good friend @travisrhoadsphotography pointed out I forgot to remove a filter...🤦🏻‍♂️ . The landscape under the darkness of the night sky seemed like another planet all together. This sailing / racing rock looked as if it had crash landed into the surface of a foreign planet and lifeforms were about to emerge. . The moon rise wasn’t for a couple hours and it was so dark. There wasn’t any light pollution at all! So dark it was spooky ! . ========================================= SINGLED OUT ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The Phenomenon of the moving rocks. All I can say is, wow! This was so cool!!! . Be sure to google this and the answer how it happens! . As we were taking in the vastness of the landscape and scouting out rocks with cool trails, we found this guy...all singled out. . I decided to do a tight shot of this guy. Shot wide open at 2.8 with the 70-200, I felt like it showcased just how isolated this place is from the rest of the world. . Though isolated from the pack, it’s still part of a larger picture. (Gonna get deep) . While standing out there for hours and I do mean (several) hours, the only thing that could be heard was the sound of wind and my very footsteps on the playa. . I started to feel a bit isolated and singled out. As alone as that made me feel. I could look around and there was @travisrhoadsphotography @jrich.photos @alfredomoraphotography all part of yet a bigger picture. . Many times in our lives we can feel very isolated, alone, deserted, abandoned or forsaken.
