Quarantine Days
9/10/20
✨Today’s been a pretty chill day which has been really nice.
✨Woke up at 8am and laid in bed reading for an hour before having to get up and get ready for work. Currently reading The Tattoist of Auschwitz and it’s so good so far! Sad, but so enthralling!
✨Worked from 10-3 and it was dead 💀
✨Got off and went to the store to buy some more spinach and oat milk then walked home.
✨Did a 45 minute yoga class which felt so nice. I’m bummed because the air quality here is reallyyyy bad and it’s at the category hazardous for all, so I know I need to not run or bike ride atm, but it makes my ed brain start to spiral a bit. But honestly after a good yoga session my mind is more at ease :)
✨After yoga I showered, made dinner (Dave’s killer bread everything bagel with a Hillary’s vegetable patty topped with daiya cheese and some tortilla chips inside for some crunch :)
✨Now I’m laying back in bed continuing to read! I bought 4 new books recently (the fourth one is coming in the mail!!) and I’m so excited about all of them! Currently reading the tattooist..., then I am going to read stamped since I recently finished Ibram’s book How to be an Anti-racist which was sooo good! And then I am going to read the book I bought called Homecoming by Yaa Gyasi, then finally I’ll read Sissy. I’ve been trying to make sure I’m supporting not only white authors or reading their voices only, and it’s been so exciting seeing all that I’ve been finding by making sure I branch out!
✨I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe in this batshit crazy world of ours right now 😳❤️
Every mama wants to feel prepared for their little human when they arrive. I’ve read hundreds of birth, pregnancy, and parenting books. Not everyone has time for that though, so I’ve narrowed it down to 5 of my best suggestions.
