Hi, I notice there’s a little community of us on here really enjoying Love in The Moonlight, and have enjoyed other queer lakorns that have come out in recent years.
I don't know if a lot of people know this, but many of these shows are works by Neung Chawanon Sarapat. She is a screenwiter who’s been delivering us these delicious lakorns for years.
I'm bringing her up because Neung has another pairing that I love, but it isn't from one of her queer lakorns. They are from one of her older straight lakorns, Proong Nee Gor Ruk Ter. Now this lakorn is from 2009, so it was produced during the Slap Kiss(trigger warning) era Thailand had going on. WHICH WE ARE NOT ABOUT TO GET INTO, I’M HERE TO TALK ABOUT THE GAY PEOPLE.
So, this lakorn is about a couple who were about to marry when one part of the main couple had their relative killed by the other half of the pairing's relative. And now they're enemies, yada yada yada. Now that's where our second couple comes in. YES, THE SECOND COUPLE WHO ARE QUEER IN A 2009 LAKORN. They are Kong, the little brother of the female lead, and Pee, the cousin-in-law?, of the male lead, so they are expected the fight as well, but that doesn't happen.

Pee is instantly interested in Kong and constantly tries to catch his attention and be near him. We are shown from the start that these two people are interested in each other, and they are even an official couple from the mid-point to the end of the lakorn. Now it is still 2009, so we had some very 2009 things, such as homophobia and one half of the pairing being harmed. I don't mention not having a kiss because lakorns had many instances of a pairing not actually having a kiss or having an angled fake kiss, so I'll concede on that.
Pee is a racer who has a leg injury, and Kong is a physiatrist or caretaker. They first meet in the hospital when Kong mistakes Pee for a thief who is trying to steal his grandmother’s wallet(yes, very lakorn). Kong realizes his mistake, and by then Pee is already interested. Love at first sight🤭
Pee then gets hurt from a race, and guess who’s assigned for his rehabilitation and care-taking, KONG!
Pee figures out Kong is related to the male lead and tries to distance himself by quitting, but Kong doesn’t let that happen and convinces him to stay.
They spend more and more time together, and we see from the jump that Pee is our bi-king who does not give one fuck and wants that cute doctor boy.
