#JackedKirby - Rama Tut aka Kang the Conqueror! Kang the Conqueror is one of Marvel's greatest villainous threats... And the funny thing is he has had many different incarnations throughout his storied career at giving the Marvel Universe's Heroes headaches throughout the time stream! His first appearance came as ancient Egyptian villain Rama Tut, who is revealed to be Nathaniel Richards from the 30th century! After he stumbles on some of Dr Doom's time travel technology, he travels back to Egypt in 2950 BC and serves as pharaoh until the Fantastic Four show up in #Issue19 of their title (published in October of 1963) to chase him back into the time stream... Eager to become a time traveling conqueror, he travels to the 1960s in search of his technological mentor Dr Doom and instead finds the Avengers! This panel is from his first appearance in the character of Kang, which was published in September of 1964. Kang has built a battle suit in the style of Doom and has lots of future weaponry in store for the Earth's Mightiest Heroes! One thing that sticks out in this bunch of panels is the flippant way Stan Lee used to write the character of the Wasp. Even though she is a founding member of this great super hero team, she is constantly speaking like a crush crazy school girl. While the rest of the team is evaluating the enemy and being tough/brave, she is commenting that this time traveling villain is probably "not bad looking under that silly headgear". SMH... Come on Stan! You're better than that! Another great villain courtesy of Lee and Kirby that spanned across all the titles... In many, many forms! #JackKirby #KingKirby #Kirby #Kang #RamaTut #FantasticFour #Avengers #TheMightyAvengers #Wasp #Cap #Thor #IronMan #Comic #Comics #ComicBook #ComicBooks #InstaComics #ComicsOfInstagram #60sComics #ComicsOfThe60s #Marvel #MarvelComics #DrDoom #KirbyAndLee
