hey real quick whats with the random capitalizations in old writing saying things like “There is likewise another great Advantage in my Scheme“ i mean whats that about

its 1 am but heres my headcanon on Altean reproduction bc why not This was born bc i see Allura being a only child as something thats really common on Altea So like for some reason i see the Alteans has having only children (as in there are no siblings). But then i remembered in AP Human Geography we learned to sustain a population every woman must have 2 kids, 1 to replace her and 1 to replace the father. If she has more the population grows, if she has less the population shrinks. So that means either the Alteans are shrinking their population (which is entirely possible) or they do not need partners to reproduce. We do not have any information on Allura's mother, or anything stating she does actually have another birth parent (i did not watch the 80s version so i have no idea if they went over Altean society or family structures). The same with Coran (it is kind of a stretch but) we only hear of his Grandfather, singular, no grandmother or parents. This would mean the Alteans can reproduce asexually (aka by oneself). But, if you reproduce you can still have more than one child right? Correct, but i see Alteans reproduction window as very short compared to Humans. With Humans females can have a child as soon as they get their period (which can start as early as age 8 or 9) till they are in their late 40s and early 50s. A example would be age 10-50, making the reproduction window 40 years. Males can reproduce from when they start producing sperm (i think thats around age 12) till they die. So 12-80 years is a 68 year window. Now for Alteans, which are Aliens and could have many genders which reproduction systems could all function differently, are seen as a advanced Species. If we were to look at "advanced Human cities" we would see people having less children and having them later in life, shorting the reproduction window. It is also more dangerous and more problems occur in a later-in-life pregnancy. So if we were to apply that logic to the Alteans that would mean a shorter window to have a child, a window that occurs later in life (after the body has been fully developed for many years but before it starts deteriorating), which would result in less children. (not mentioning how most of that window is spent raising the child they have). TLDR: heres my explanation for my crack theory on why Alteans reproduce asexually and only have 1 child

Why do so many people who tweet about politics have zero understanding of the rules of capitalization? And not even Ironic Importance style.

We fought two wars so we could be free of having to capitalize every noun — can’t they honour the sacrifice and service of our brave grammarians???

Now listen y’all I’ve never seen a single episode of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo but PROPS to SOMEONE for making a show about cleaning your house of things you don’t want anymore. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like having a house full of STUFF. There’s clumps of clutter throughout my place, but I avoid adding to the inventory as much as possible. Am I really gonna want that thing three months from now? I think, and it is usually nah. Besides, do you live in a TORNADO ZONE? How about HURRICANES or EARTHQUAKES? You won’t have to mad up some desperate hidden reflexes if you clean your house a bit.
