Just found myself thinking about this and I’m curious how other people think;
How do you define the phrase “I don’t get out much”?
Not leaving the home much for leisure/recreation, as opposed to errands/work/etc
Not leaving the home much at all for any reason
Some other definition? (leave in tags/reblogs)
So I’m genuinely curious. Those with OC’s, do any of you have voice claims for your muses?
Both the fictional Japan in Boku no Hero Academia and the real Japan have what can be called a tight culture—a term by Michele Gelfand, a professor of Psychology and author of the book Rule Makers Rule Breakers: How Tight and Loose Cultures Wire Our World. “Order” sits at the foundational structure of the country, systematically implemented through extrinsic social-political restriction and coercion. Within a tight culture there can be elements of looseness and vice versa. But generally cultures exist on a spectrum of tightness to looseness, and post-superpowered Japan falls on the tight end of that spectrum. Parzival, Arsene, Kadir, Jardin, or Vang?
Random Question!
Would Taako (y’know from T.V.) be into how Mettaton does things? The Fashion! The Fame! The Glamour! Or would Taako think it was too tacky? I know Taako would have ALOT to say about the quality of the food in Mettaton’s restaurant chain. Because of course humans go around eating burgers made with SEQUINS AND GLUE!
Regarding Deku “extending a hand”, I’m really thinking that this is about acknowledging the unheard voices of society, the ones trying to be shut-off such as Nagant. These painful screams are so easy to cover-up, censor or kill. The really hard part is to address the elephant in the room: these voices exist because they are symptoms of something, the consequence of something that failed them somehow. And the way to remedy it is not by shoving it under the rug. Why did the Safety Commission release a statement that Nagant “killed a fellow hero” instead of the President of the Commission? Perhaps the answer to this question would threaten hero culture and its narrative.
