Laughing at how Asian series have impacted our music tastes. Introducing us to kpop has not been healthy, but it's been a lot of fun. And I'm currently listening to Jeff Satur on repeat. I can't even understand the lyrics, but I don't care. His voice is epic and love his music so much. Just one more obsession to add to the list.

I'm doing a lot of audio recording for work today, and listening to my own voice over and over is so weird. I don't hate it... she's actually kinda sexy, but it ain't my voice lol

It’s raining

One of those hot summer rains that rush in out of seemingly no where

I ran outside, rushing to grab the cushions off the patio furniture but then stopped to watch this little bird.

It was sitting on an overhead wire. It’s little head tilted up to the sky, feathers ruffled. For some reason it made me smile and I found myself tilting my head back too.

And I started to laugh.

The rain was soaking me. Hard drops slicking along my scalp, washing my freshly applied make up off my face and I loved every second of it. I threw my arms out wide and spun in a circle while I laughed.

I spun slowly until the rain slowed then stopped to look back to wire to see the little bird doing a full body shake. Once again I followed his lead.

I don’t know why I’m sharing this. Maybe because I enjoyed those moments more than I would have imagined.

For a moment today I let go of some small responsibility. I embraced my inner child and let myself be free. It wasn’t for more than 5 minutes but it left me with a smile.

A smile that hasn’t left me yet.

I know this is a bit random (as am I!) but I was thinking about Carla. Yes I think about my Sims! I write my stories a fair way in advance and if I haven’t physically written them I think about them a lot before I write. I can’t help it... Anyway, this is Carla after she had finished high school and started working at the science facility. This pic makes me think of her as young and free, all of her hopes and dreams ahead of her in life, until I came along and ruined it all for her! 

This was just before she met Nate and had an accidental drunken one night stand that resulted in pregnancy. Before she had a child, before she was married, before her life was burdened with responsibilities and difficult people. She still lived at home with both of her parents and her teenage brother. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned her brother Ben in my story so far. He will most likely make an appearance later.

This is her mum who loves cooking real food. She is very health conscious. She grows her own vegies and loves yoga.

Her dad who works in accounting.

And her brother who followed in his father’s footsteps into accounting.

These pics were taken when they lived in the family home together. They have all since moved out and moved on. I told you I was random for no reason! Just felt like sharing :D
