Wait a second is this why I’m good at small groups where it’s just a couple of us at a time but when we have a big group of like 50 people in the room and then go in a small group from there I can’t talk to anyone…

Cause I can be almost charismatic if I’m one on one or with up to five people but I just realized I don’t do the observing thing when it’s that few people and I’m able to just talk & make friends 😭

Now whenever I’m in the huge groups, I just put in headphones which then comes across as antisocial so no one’s going to approach me and I seem like I don’t want to interact. But I look weird and lonely if I look up to watch everyone. how are you supposed to choose your smaller group within the larger group? I just want a placement assignment.

How are people deciding to approach someone without knowing anything about them first? How am I supposed to know you if I don’t observe you to decide if you’re worth it??? Saying “worth it” sounds mean here but I don’t know what to call it, I think I mean “compatible.” I don’t wanna waste time on small talk if we’re not going to get along & I don’t know your vibe.
