🌹 - How would your muse react to romantic gestures, expected or not?
Depends on how she feels about the person. She’s not a very emotionally open person, so most attempts probably get some level of... looking really amused by the attempt. Now, someone she feels strongly about? Can leave her genuinely speechless.
🌷 - Is your muse likely to be the one to make the first move, or would they wait for the other to make a move first?
She’s the first mover, all the way, though if someone can beat her to it? Bonus points for them. Generally if she sees something or someone she wants, she seizes the opportunity.
😍 - Does your muse have any crushes? If so, who are they?
She would never categorize them as crushes. But besides Zaeed, Wrex and Samara could be considered such. She likes them strong.
💛 - In what ways does your muse express their love to their partner?
Rowan’s all about physical affection. She is a very physical person. But if you’re truly special, you start getting little hints you’re on her mind, or she was thinking of you. Bonus points if it’s something functional that keeps you safe (new armor, weapon upgrades), cause that definitely means she wants you to stay alive and stick around.
💜 - Does your muse date others based on their appearance or personality, or both?
Personality. Appearance may initially draw her, but it alone can’t interest her long enough to stick around or care. Pretty things are fun to play with, but if you don’t have a personality she craves being around? Yeah, you’re not going to see her.
♡ - Is there any kind of person that your muse will never date?
She can’t do naïve. She had all of her innocence and naivety ripped from her young, and doesn’t really have the capacity to deal with it on a casual basis, let alone any deeper ones.
💞 - Does your muse believe in soulmates?
If you ask her, no. But whatever you could get her to describe her believing in would basically amount to the same concept with fussier wording. Not soulmates, but people who click together, who are comfortable on a vibe level. It’s splitting hairs, but she doesn’t like some of the imagery and notions attached to traditional soulmate concepts.

Baldur’s Gate was home for Estryd. The Temple of Bhaal was the one safe haven she had, no matter how often she ran away they always welcomed her inevitable return. Her family, as dysfunctional as the are, were there. Estryd knew the ins and outs of Baldur’s Gate. She loved her city, even if she was known as a terror by the people living there.
That all changes when she discovers Orin tried to kill her, and now agents of Bhaal are attacking her on site. Estryd now associates Baldur’s Gate with betrayal and loss. She won’t be returning after the events of the game.
How does your Dark Urge feel about love?
Intense yearning mixed with shame. Estryd wants to be loved so much, and she feels love deeply, despite telling herself otherwise. But Bhaal has made it clear that love is not part of who she is supposed to be. She doesn’t want to be forced to kill people she loves so she tries to suppress those feelings. And she truly believes that no one can love her, monster that she is.
Gale gets a glimpse of the depth of her feelings during the Weave scene. It’s platonic at that moment, but she has this strong desire for friendship that overwhelms him. It’s his first glimpse of who she is under the Dark Urge mask. (and she is ridiculously sappy towards him once they are in a committed relationship)
How does your Dark Urge feel about what others think of them?
I think Estryd does a lot of lying to herself. She tells herself she doesn’t care, and in most cases this is true. Being a monster of the night for decades numbs you to people’s opinions. But when she starts to care about someone, she wants them to care for her just as much, and this leads to a lot of self-loathing because she feels she is someone incapable of love or being loved. So she tries to cover up her hurt by pretending not to care.
How good of a liar is your Dark Urge? How do they feel about lying?
Estryd is very good at lying (even mechanically she has a high charisma score and is good at deception)! She’s had to use lying as a survival skill for most of her life. She feels neutral about it. If lying helps turn things in her favor, she lies.

a lot of Gooey Looks and Snickering Whispers and Canoodling, for sure.
i mean, at risk of being that author that pushes two characters together by having Every Other Character affirm it, i do think it's moderately obvious dfkdghkfgh. i think people will accept the whole "we're just friends" thing, but then when they become an official couple, it's like "oh, gee, i definitely didn't see that one coming a mile away 🙄"
i think they express their feelings best by being vulnerable with each other. lots of words of affirmation and commitment, being protective and letting themselves be protected. in night city, it means something when you can stop being the "tough guy badass" in front of someone, and they don't instantly reject it and demand you put you mask back on.

OH. HELL YEAH. it's one of the reasons they work so well together lol.
many of both their social spheres are like "yeah, that's cool and all, but have you considered something more uh... fatally convenient?" (or worse, get into the ol "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" of it all). which is Technically True, but hey, we're WELL past that. jackie & roxanne know what they want and how they want it.
for each other, it's the first they've had someone that wants the same as them, and has said "so what do i do to get that for you?"

💪 - would your character be more likely to scoop someone up in their arms, or be the one getting scooped?
tragically....he is getting scooped lol being only five foot tall, he is often the easiest option to scoop. he doesn’t like being scooped and is about as agreeable as an angry house cat when held XD
I never thought about the cake on a DAO ogre and yet here I am thinking about how it really is a whole snack and a half despite how much I hate them.
