Oh my, what a run// Snow Canyon State Park//February 2018
W4D6 - 32k (arctic temperatures)
I honestly don’t felt like I’m in marathon training right now. I wasn’t even sure if I’m still capable of running 32k.
Don’t think - just run!
It was absolutely dreamy and just flowing. Like I had this run in my body waiting to be unchained. Yaaaasss! I’m still a marathon runner & I don’t need to run 80+km/week to feel fast and powerful! What a feeling! ✨
Killed my long run today! 14 miles with 4x1 mile @ 7:20 pace (7:22, 7:22, 7:18, 7:19). I took a super nice nap afterward, guess this run wore me out 😴 Only 3 weeks now until the Excalibur 10 Miler!
I AM OFFICIALLY PHYSIO APPROVED TO RUN OUTSIDE! I'm still doing 1 minute run/walk intervals for the rest of the week, but it's incredible how much better it is doing them outside. It's warm and sunny out today, and I got to feel the sun on my face and the wind in my hair, and experience the feeling of my legs actually taking me from point A to point B. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again and I couldn't be happier
Sunshine for my hilly loop.
Happy Sunday guys! I actually nearly did myself in on this run, I tried a new route to a place I don’t know and came up against the steepest muddiest forest track, it practically finished me off, hence the very very long 5K time. Still, it was nice to explore!! Rocked my birthday running kit, it’s hard to take pictures of your funky leggings and your face, I look like a massive head on a tiny body I’m going to meet some people at the pub and I’m very anxious, but at least I have fancy chocolates to eat when I get home 😍😍😍
Ran 4 good miles today.
I’m going to love this body and feed it if it’s the last thing I do. This was the best protein bowl I’ve had (quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado, chickpeas and a yummy sauce). I’ve been running some fast miles on the treadmill and trying to keep up a yoga routine. It’s still been brutally cold and it’s been mentally hard to get outside but the gym has been good to me. Been trying to focus on doing nice things for someone more often and I love that little challenge.
