I kinda want to see Sienna and Jaune talking about their case against the S.D.C. (Also imagine Illa starts dating Saphron and Terra. Jaune awkwardly brings it up to Sienna.)
Sienna Khan was sitting in the cluttered legal office of one Jaune Arc. She was apprehensive of working with a human, though she had to admit the courtesy service was exceptional. She was situated ina well worn but comfortable padded armchair, currently being served some tea by a fashionable young woman who had an adorable infant in a chest carrier.
"Are you sure you should be working? You little one looks rather young."
"Oh it's fine." the young woman replied. "Jaune needs all hands on deck, and let's be honest... he likes checking out his MILFy Coco-Puff, during the day."
"You and him? That seems rather... contrived."
"Of this who practice is a family business. Me, Bun-Bun, and Jaune are happy and work seamlessly together."
"Yes. Why do you have a problem with that?"
"No... I just find it... unique?" Sienna responded.
"Well once little Lilac here reaches two, it'll be Vel's turn to have one."
"Anyway. Jaune will be with you shortly. He's just running a little late from conducting a disposition for another case."
"If you need anything else, while you wait just give me a shout. I'm Coco by the way."
Coco exited the room, leaving Sienna to her own devices. So the current Leader of the infamous White Fang stood up and wandered, gazing at diplomas, and various pictures. Some were group shots, probably from cases he worked, some were of a large blond family, others of the trio that ran this office. But there were also a few of Jaune with dignitaries.
"He knows Ghira and Kali?" Sienna whispered to herself as she examined the photo of Jaune with the Chieftain and Chiefess of Menagerie. Squinting he could just make out the sulking form of Blake in the background.
"That was an interesting case." Jaune spoke up as he entered his office. "Blake got herself nicked, and was looking at twenty years... I got it whittled down to seven in house arrest."
"Yep. My first criminal defense case." Jaune replied as he dropped his briefcase on the floor while taking a seat behind the chaos that was his desk. "It was fun, but a prefer Class-Actions. More fun, and better payout."
"Yes, the payout." Sienna's eyes narrowed, "It always falls back to lien with you're types."
"AND what is that supposed to mean, Ms Kahn?" Jaune asked, his own eyes narrowing. "Was that a remark about me being human?"
"For future reference, keep those thoughts to yourself. They will NOT go over well during mediation or if that fails, the court."
"I understand. I'll try and temper my..."
"Don't try. Do it." Jaune leaned back in his chair. "So... we are here because I have a proposal for you and your organization. I would like to represent those Faunus who have been injured, or the families of those who have died due to SDC negligence."
"Okay, but I fail to see..."
"The White Fang, speaks for faunus-kind as a whole, though your less... legal activities are a complication."
"So you're suggesting we stop our fight against the tyranny of..."
"I see this action as a two pronged situation. One the White Fang, namely you offer public support for this Class-Action."
"You legalize and become a political party... more specifically a union, with multiple jurisdictions or representation."
"Manual Labor, Retail workers, and medical staff. Each distinct but under the larger umbrella of the White Fang."
"It is, but I feel you will have a little problem with this next part."
"You will actively not only recruit faunus, but also humans."
"If you want the power to enact changes, you need to be inclusive, which means offering representation to all individuals that work in specific occupations. There are many human miners who have also suffered due to SDC's unethical practices." Jaune leaned forward in his chair. "You do understand, three thousand claimants all faunus do not have the public impact that five thousand human and faunus claimants would have."
"To force change with the SDC we have to literally overwhelm them with filings, and dispositions. I'm talking a tidal wave of suits."
"But they have a rather expensive legal team."
"That they do, but time is money for them, and when faced with the cost of fighting a class action of current and former workers, some pushing for possible criminal charges under Negligent Homicide..."
"Yes. It's a formula. Cost of litigation versus cost of maximum potential settlement." Jaune cracked his neck. "Now if you choose to advocate for my proposed class-action... we'll use the newly rebranded White Fang to add further pressure."
"Strike. Complete all branches strikes. Medical staff showing solidarity with the Manual Laborers to bring the SDC operations to a stand still."
"And that would accomplish?"
"Ruin their revenue streams, as well as destroying their public persona." Jaune answered. "I'm talking complete ethical smear campaign, along with multiple filings for damages, both physical and emotional."
"I see... and what would this process cost the White Fang?" Sienna asked, her interest peaked. "I know this would not be done, out of the goodness of your heart."
"You right. The class action I take 30% of the total settlement."
"Understand when in comes to class-actions if it fails I make nothing, which is why I'm also hedging my bet with the unionization of the White Fang. That will fall under normal legal representation with standard rates."
"This is a lot to take in." Sienna commented as she leaned back in her own chair. "I will need time to consider and discuss with my advisors."
"Very well, if there is nothing else I will relay our decision with in the next two weeks."
"There are a couple other things."
"Vel!" Jaune shouted ignoring his intercom.
"Yes honey?" answered a adorable rabbit faunus who poked her head through the side door of the office.
"Can you provide Ms Khan with a copy of the proposals we drafted, and a listing of our standard charge rates."
"No prob." Velvet responded. "Oh, Coco had to step away to breast feed Lilac so I'll cover the front after I get those documents colated."
"Nope, it's okay, Bun-Bun. You concentrate on the documentations, I'll hand the front desk until Coco returns."
"Your the best honey!" Velvet commented before vanishing back into what was obviously her own office.
"So is there anything else Ms Khan?"
"You said there are a couple of things. What's the other thing you wanted to mention?"
"Ah, yes it's more of a personal request." Jaune reached up and rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand.
"Who do you need... removed?"
"Okay, sorry I just thought..."
"You thought wrong!" Jaune snapped. "It has to do with Ms Amitola, and her... growing association with my sister Saphron and her wife Terra."
"I don't see how this is..."
"I need you to impress on Ms Amitola that she can no longer partake in... White Fang activities... specific ones that would potentially bring harm to my family."
"So you want me to bring the faunus to heel as a pet?" Siena started to growl.
"What it is with you and all this anti-human shit?" Jaune countered. "Makes you rather unsympathetic."
"Yes, public opinion will be important to this case so curb your racist bullshit!"
"Did you just call me a racist?!?"
"If the shoe fits." Jaune replied, "In Ms Amitola's case it's not as you assume. From the way my sister is taking it seems there is some serious feelings developing between the three of them... I need them all to be safe and free to explore that relationship. Understand?"
"And you feel the complication of Ilia's association to the more active branch of the White Fang would hinder that?"
"I do." Jaune responded. "Those three deserve peace and happiness. Can you make that happen?"
"I think I can. Would me assigning Ilia to a more... administrative position satisfy you're concerns."
"Very well. If there is nothing else. I should take my leave."
I look forward to hearing from you." Jaune commented as he rose from his seat and offered his hand to Sienna.
