Hiii, could u please write something with oikawa that has a s/o that always picks at her finger skin? So much it also bleeds sometimes?
☞ Don’t You Dare Hide Your Hands From Me
──── 🗯 .ᐣ.ᐟ After a long match, Oikawa notices his girlfriend hiding her hands again—torn, bleeding from compulsive skin picking. Instead of flinching, he gently holds them, reminding her that her pain isn’t shameful. In a quiet moment of vulnerability, he offers comfort, late-night texts, and alien documentaries as distractions, vowing to be her safe place whenever the urge strikes. It’s a tender, emotionally charged glimpse into love that sees past the wounds and chooses to stay.
PINNED MASTERLIST RULES
The match had ended hours ago, but Oikawa still hadn’t changed out of his jersey. He sat cross-legged on the floor of your apartment, hair damp from a rushed shower, eyes fixed on the way your fingers curled into your sleeves.
You always did that when you were anxious.
Or ashamed.
He didn’t say anything at first. Just watched the way you fidgeted with the hem of your hoodie, tugging it down, hiding your hands like they were something to be punished.
“You’re doing it again,” he said quietly.
You froze. “Doing what?”
“That thing where you pretend I haven’t seen your fingers a thousand times before.”
You swallowed hard. “They’re worse today.”
Oikawa shifted closer, his knees brushing yours. “So? You think I care if they’re bleeding?”
You flinched. Not because of his words, but because of how gently he said them.
“I do,” you whispered. “It’s gross.”
“No,” he said, voice firm now. “It’s not. It’s pain. And I hate that you’re hurting.”
You looked down, sleeves still pulled over your hands. He reached out, slowly, like he was afraid you’d bolt. His fingers brushed yours, coaxing them free from the fabric.
It took everything in you not to pull away.
But he didn’t flinch. Didn’t wince. Just held your hand in both of his, thumbs ghosting over the raw, torn skin around your nails.
“I know you don’t mean to,” he murmured. “I know it’s not something you can just stop.”
Your throat tightened. “I try.”
“I know you do.” He kissed the inside of your wrist, just above the worst of it. “And I’m proud of you for trying.”
You blinked fast, trying to keep the tears at bay. “You’re not disgusted?”
He looked up at you, eyes shining with something fierce and unshakable. “I’m disgusted by people who make you feel like you should hide. Not by you.”
You let out a shaky breath. “It’s just… sometimes I don’t even notice I’m doing it. And then it hurts. And I hate myself for it.”
Oikawa pulled you into his lap, arms wrapping around you like a shield. “Then let me be the one who notices. Let me be the one who holds your hands when you need a break.”
You buried your face in his shoulder. “You’re too good to me.”
He chuckled softly. “I’m exactly as good as you deserve.”
There was a long silence. The kind that felt like safety.
Then, quietly, he added, “Next time you feel like picking, text me. Even if it’s 3 a.m. Even if you think I’m busy. I’ll send you a dumb selfie or a volleyball meme or a voice note telling you how much I love you.”
You laughed, watery and real. “You’d really do that?”
“I’d do worse,” he said with a grin. “I’d show up at your door with band-aids and a tub of ice cream and make you watch alien documentaries until you forget what anxiety feels like.”
You leaned into him, heart aching in the best way. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you’re mine,” he said, pressing a kiss to your temple. “So don’t you dare hide your hands from me again.”

reader bumps into competition at a volleyball meet. fluff. oikawa being a brat
the karasuno boys volleyball team pressed through the entrance doors to the unfamiliar high school, eyes gleaming with curiosity as they observed their new environment. the halls were stuffed with parents and friends waiting to support their players, sporting the jerseys of different schools. the line for the concession stand wrapped around the corner.
hinata was a few paces ahead, his head on a swivel as he passed all the players– much taller than him. his eyes gravitated to a particularly tall first-year, he was so fixated on looking behind him to realize he was running directly into someone.
“what–? oh my god! i am so sorry! i’m sorry, please forgive me! i wasn’t paying attention,” hinata stumbled backward and fell into a respectful bow, his anxiety swelling in his stomach as he clenched his eyes shut.
you looked over your shoulder at him, barely registering that he’d run into you by the time he’d finished his ramblings. you couldn’t help but laugh at his overreaction, brushing it off with a shrug and turning to face him.
he shot his head up at the sound of your light giggles, somehow more relieved, as well as mortified. he was paling with fear, taking a small step back and running into the chest of his captain, who laid a solid hand on his shoulder. hinata felt helpless, jaw agape as he made himself smaller and smaller between you and daichi.
he recognized the colors on your jersey, white with deep green lettering that matched the shade of your shorts. there was a volleyball tucked beneath your left arm and your fingers were taped together. hinata peeked behind you, where the rest of your team congregated at the water fountain to refill their bottles. there were duffel bags and knee pads scattered on the floor.
“you’re– you’re the iron wall!” hinata pointed with a shaking finger.
“hinata! it’s rude to point,” daichi removed his clasp on the redhead’s shoulder to slap away hinata’s hand. “y/n, i am so sorry about him. he’s one of our first years, he gets overwhelmed pretty easily.”
you laughed, shaking your head. “it’s alright. it’s good to see you, daichi.”
daichi moved hinata to the side so he wasn’t between you anymore, but the first-year still observed with wide eyes. you shook hands and, unfortunately for daichi, he couldn’t hide the way his cheeks flushed.
kageyama narrowed his eyes as you continued talking to his captain. there was something eerily familiar about you, something wrong. maybe it was because most volleyball players he met ended up being competition, but your friendliness threw him off. and he certainly didn’t like the way daichi was enamored with you. “daichi knows her?”
leaning into his teammate, sugawara answered, “they went to middle school together, or something, i think. she’s captain of the girls volleyball team and took them to nationals last year.”
but why were you so familiar to him?
despite how genuine you were, there was a cunning glint in your eye, subtle to his teammates and their lackluster observational skills. from behind him, he could practically hear tanaka and nishinoya reel their tongues back in after catching flies.
“you went to nationals!?” hinata interjected with an admiring gasp. his eyes seemed to sparkle at the mention of the competition.
“sure did,” you winked at him. he could melt right into his shoes.
daichi laughed heartily. “oh, yeah. it’s incredible to watch her play. don’t let her trick you, though. her mind games on the court are pure evil.”
“c’mon, daichi! don’t give it away, it’s more fun when they find out on their own.”
if it wasn’t for the buzz of conversation filling the hallway, you would have heard him coming– the fe, fi, fo, fum of his 6’0” stature. he was parading himself through the hallway in his freshly steamed volleyball uniform, so far unscathed from his morning practice. if only you could see him behind you, a narrowed expression of concentration and mischief, his eyes on the prize.
suddenly, it seemed as if the karasuno boys had spotted a ghost. fear struck daichi’s eyes and his words died in his throat, and your face contorted in confusion.
“y/n! it’s lovely to see you here.”
oh, there he is.
oikawa had sauntered up behind you, towering over your figure with a smug grin. he was as ecstatic as ever, eyes squinted with the generous smile that took over his face. it was a regular habit of his to mask his disdain with glee, one of the many things that made him unsettling to be around.
you did your best to contain your excitement but lost the fight against the corners of your lips curling upward. he was insufferable. your stomach turned and you straightened up, relaxing your expression as you turned to face the seijoh player. from behind you, daichi let out a noise that resembled uncertainty, but wasn’t strong enough to use his voice.
“oikawa,” you greeted with a thin smile.
“how was your first game? i heard it was pretty quick.”
“hardly a warm-up,” you corrected. even if the karasuno boys couldn’t spot the mischievous gleam in your eyes, it was clear you were ready to match his energy. it sent a chill down sugawara’s spine. “pretty easy to win when your girl's volleyball team only serves as your fan club.”
tadashi gasped as if the comment was meant to slice him, and was quickly glared into silence by his peer. the team couldn’t help but stay silent as they watched the showdown, the strife in you and oikawa’s eyes met in the middle like a clash of lightning, both of you trying your hardest to win the battle.
oikawa’s smile faltered for a millisecond, and your ego swelled as you waited for a rebuttal. “you’re lucky to hold down the fort as the sole surviving third year on the team. has it gotten to you yet? reining in all those underclassmen by yourself?” he leaned closer, down to your level, and his voice dropped. “they have pretty big shoes to fill if you’re gonna make it again.”
“h-hey!” hinata cut in. you and oikawa snapped your head in his direction, suddenly remembering he was there. “at least y/n has been to nationals! how can you call yourself the great king if you haven’t even gotten that far?”
there was a beat of silence. the redhead only met you minutes ago, hardly knew anything about you, but he would be damned if he let oikawa win. a smile slowly crept up your face, all the while oikawa was frozen in horror– possibly embarrassment if he’d ever admit to it.
you threw your head back in a bark of laughter, hugging the ball tighter against your side and resting a hand over your chest. it was hard to contain, and went on too long for oikawa’s liking. his ears were red, and he snapped out of his shock and faced you again with his nose scrunched.
“you know, i don’t call myself the great king!” oikawa cried, crossing his arms as he straightened up– ever so dignified.
it was the same tone he used when iwaizumi called him out, kageyama recognized it from the countless arguments he witnessed in middle school. oikawa’s pride had been swept away by hinata’s comment. despite how insignificant he found the first year, he knew was right.
the tension in the air has completely dissolved, instead the air filled with a playful breeze as you bickered back and forth. it left the karasuno team dumbfounded and awkward, caught in between it all.
“oh, but you revel in it, don’t you?” you said, almost in a purr as you grinned, narrowing your eyes and leaning closer to him.
oikawa stared you down, only lasting a few seconds until he whipped his head in the opposite direction in a poor attempt to hide his blush. you shook your head with a faint giggle yet again, relief washing over your body. it was silly to say you won the interaction, but you couldn’t help but revel in the satisfaction of getting him to react like that.
but now, like every other time, you had to be the one to clean it up.
you dropped the volleyball on the bench beside you and wrapped a hand around his bicep. his shoulders relaxed, and you turned to the crows. “sorry about that, guys! i gotta go, but i’ll see you after you win!”
“y/n! can you stop saying things like that?” oikawa huffed, his voice barely above a whisper as the two of you began to walk away. you cackled, and he slipped his hand into your own despite the steam coming off of him.
the karasuno team was left dumbfounded as they processed the events that unfolded in front of them. all but kageyama, who hummed with acknowledgment as the pieces started to click together. he slipped away to the nearby vending machine with the other first-years that had reeled in their shock (ie; tsukishima and tadashi) while leaving the upperclassmen to mend daichi’s morale. i won’t lie, man. that was a tough watch, said asahi.
as you rounded the corner you were greeted by iwaizumi at the end of the hall, his anger warping the air around him like a bonfire.
“oikawa! what the hell do you think you’re doing? stop messing around with your girlfriend and get your ass back in here!”
“why is everyone so mean today?” the setter whined.

Summary:
You hadn't registered that you'd slapped him until he look at you holding his red cheek with his large hand.
And you certainly hadn't registered that he had his tongue down your throat not a moment later. An honest to god moan leaving your lips which he smugly ate up.
___
Degration as well as any kink should have the full consent of all parties involved every time!!
I'm not very good at e2l so be gentle 🤩
I'm such a simp lmao
Oikawa could never figure out why you hated him when you both entered your first year of high school. Having come from a different middle school than you, he figured you'd be like the rest of the people in your grade level and fall all over him.
He wanted to ask why you had such a large stick up your ass during your first group project but chickened out. He assumed you'd at least get along as you were captain of the girls volleyball team and known for your powerful spikes. The setter in him really wanted to find out your perfect toss.
But it wasn't until your 3rd year when he came to despise you too.
He'd overheard you telling your best friend that your cousin made it onto his high schools volleyball team. Being the nosey Nelly that he is, he made the mistake of asking which school your cousin attended.
"Karasuno," you said, your chest puffed out.
It clicked: the black hair, intense expression, the last name even. He could practically see his protégé in the reflection of your eyes. He mentally slapped himself for not seeing it sooner.
His eyes narrowed, matching yours as tension of your silent beat down had to be cut by Iwazumi.
_____
You set down your suitcase, giving your aunt a big hug as she greeted you in the doorway. You give Tobio a fist bump as he helps you carry your things into the spare bedroom.
Your aunt had graciously allowed you to stay with her so you could be closer to school for your final year.
"I can't believe you're dropping volleyball club just as I'm about to join," Tobio whined, setting a suitcase on a chair in the corner of the room.
"I know," you said sullenly. You hadn't wanted to, but being captain and a 3rd year just wasn't going to be practical. Not being the best student, you thought it would be a wise decision.
Having always been close your your cousin on your dad's side came with its perks, including but not limited to drama. Ever since Tobio had joined volleyball in middle school he'd talked about Oikawa, usually brushing off some of the down right nasty things he'd said. But you hadn't. You took it upon yourself to help him train harder and harder to be able to defeat his bully when he'd found out he couldn't attend Aoba Josai with you.
Being an ace had its advantages when teaching Tobio about different techniques on how to set up a spiker best. Often gossiping about the smug bastard as you worked.
Of course, there was no escaping the pretty boy at school either. When your best friend, Ryu, had started dating his best friend Iwaizumi, being the 3rd and 4th wheel at hangouts became increasingly awkward.
And even worse when she mentioned your current math grade. Damn that ginger setter. And Mr. Perfect boasting about his grades to you. Which had lead you to your current situation.
Sitting in his bedroom.
Listening to him drawl on and on with rapidly decreasing interest.
While he looked hot as fuck.
What?!
With new found annoyance you scoffed at him snapping his fingers in your face.
"earth to y/n, I know I'm ravishing, but now it's math time." He said, a smirk decorating his lips.
“I ignored you on purpose, dumbass. Don't you get that I hate you?"
"I'm not asking you to stay, besides this has nothing to do with me?? Its calculus..."
"narcissist," you mumbled under your breath.
"must be your type," he shot back, "gawking at me for the last hour."
"aren't you dating whats-her-face from English?" You retorted, feeling your face heat up.
"yeah??" he said, confused.
You mocked his confusion, ""yeah" God, then stop flirting with me."
He scoffed, an eyebrow disappearing into bangs, "you must be a narcissist if you think I'm flirting with you because wow, it almost like I can't stand the sight of you, y/n," he rolled his eyes in disgust, sitting up in his chair indignantly.
You push him back into his chair, turning on your heels, saying nothing more.
"good!! I was going to kick you out anyway!"
____
You notice his current girlfriend wasn't hanging out with him at lunch nor sitting in his lap during English. In fact. He hadn't found new arm candy by the time your next session rolled around the following week.
___
After begrudgingly agreeing to do another tutoring session and making him promise no funny business, that rule was broken when he had his sleeves rolled up of his blue silk shirt, he glasses laying forgotten on the table, fingers rubbing his tired eyes as he tried to explain a difficult problem to you.
How could Tooru Oikawa be so fucking sexy and such a fucking dick at the same time?
Asking myself this a lot while writing
"fuck you, Oikawa! I don't need your bullshit!"
"fine! Fucking go then!" Giving you a light shove towards the door.
You hadn't registered that you'd slapped him until he look at you holding his red cheek with his large hand.
And you certainly hadn't registered that he had his tongue down your throat not a moment later. An honest to god moan leaving your lips which he smugly ate up.
You shoved him against his bed, your own smugness drinking up his moan.
You pulled your tank top off as you climbed on top of him. "You have condoms?" You asked, cringing at your breathless voice.
He flipped your position, hot breath fanning your ear, "don't you want to be filled with my cum, baby?"
Rolling your eyes, you flipped the position again, "the last thing the world needs is more of you running around."
He considered it before saying with a shrug "top drawer."
Leaning over, your legs still gripping his hips, you pulled out a condom wrapper and tossed it at his face. His nose scrunching cutely.
"pull some weight, lazykawa," you said, yanking his pants and underwear to his ankles. He was already fully hard and you took great satisfaction in wordlessly teasing him.
Trying to ignore you, a blush creeping up around his ears as he hurriedly rolling the condom onto his thick length, as you remove your bra. He flips your position once more, hovering over you, a taunting smirk plastered over his lips.
"can't go 10 minutes without getting your greedy pussy fucked?"
"Can't that mouth do anything besides half-assed insults, Shittykawa?" You mocked, he raised a cheeky eye brow at you.
He lowered his face to you heat, "want to find out?" You grip his hair harshly and shove his face between your thighs.
He rips off you panties and eagerly laps around your cunt before catching himself, slowing his ministrations.
He gripped your thighs as he buried his face in your heat. Alternating between sucking in your clit and finger fucking you, never letting you get both at the same time.
You bit your tongue, doing your best to avoid begging for more - a futile endeavor.
"C'mon babygirl, I know you want it," he sing-songed
You swallowed your pride, "please Tooru."
"sorry couldn't hear you, your legs were busy clamping around my ears.
Your legs shook in frustration and pleasure as he lazily drummed his finger on your sweet spot.
He leaned overtop of you, sucking harshly in your neck as his other hand massages your ass.
"please, Tooru! Please sir!"
"oo~" he remarks, returning between your legs, 3 fingers entering you suddenly as he nibbled along your thigh, quickly returning to sucking on your clit.
You come hard and without warning.
"delicious," he remarks, sitting up and licking his fingers clean, "and so many lewd noises too."
"You have a knack for bringing out the worst in people," you attempt to sound threatening but only succeeding in boosting his ego.
"Oh no~ I hate to find out what the best would be..." He unbuttons his blue silk shirt, allowing you to drink up the full show of his abs. "Not talking so big now, eh, Kageyama?"
You scowl at him before grunting a "just fuck me already".
"don't mind if I do."
You connected your lips with his, enjoying the noises he made as his neglected cock became engulfed in your warmth.
Neither of you lasted long.
He emptied himself into the rubber with a sexy grunt lining up with your moan.
After care he collapsed on top of you, his deep breaths matching yours.
Your hands still resting on his back, feeling scratches from your nails decorating his skin.
He had pressed his forehead to yours, you looked up to meet his eyes which were flitting between the purple marks on your neck and your eyes.
He hadn't held your gaze for more than a second when the realization of what just happened hit both of you at once. Pushing your bodies apart, you shamefully picked up your clothes from the floor leaving the room quickly.
____
It had been weeks since that day. You hadn't gone back for another tutoring session, claiming to Ryu that your grades had improved.
The free time had allowed you to be a better supporter for your cousin, getting a chance to meet his teammates and his friends.
You meet Karasuno's Ryu and think to yourself how well he and your Ryu would get along
While hanging out with your cousin at the spring tournament, you were enjoying a lunch break with a vibrant ginger, his best friend Hinata and a mutual friend with spiky hair. Bokuto, you had learned, was in your year and had a ton in common with you.
Maybe you'd gotten carried away returning his flirty looks and laughing a little too hard at his jokes. He remarked often how different your personality was from your cousin. After exchanging numbers to practice volleyball sometime (him being excited to practice with another captain/ace) an unfortunately familiar voice pulled you away from your fun.
"y/n?"
"what?" You roll your eyes, at Oikawa. You knew he had been watch you and the rest of Karasuno after they had win their first game. Beside you, you can feel the 3 boys, especially Tobio fuming.
"I have a question about the math assignment."
"I'm busy."
"too bad."
Recognizing that he wasn't going to go away until you give in, you stand up, brushing the dust from your bottoms. He leads the way out of sight from your new friends.
He harshly pushes you against the wall, "what do you think you're doing princess?"
You flip your position, he winced as his back connects with the concrete wall. "You ask you the same thing, princess."
His hand instinctively wrapped around your muscular arm submissively.
"you like that don't you?" You asked.
He nervously glanced around him for on lookers. Luckily he'd chosen a pretty secluded spot
"wouldn't want your fan girls to see you being treated like the pretty white you are?" You smirked.
He nodded shyly.
You grabbed his ass, earning a submissive squeak from him.
"such a good princess, getting his flat ass groped," you smile, you see him swallow a moan as his eyes flutter shut.
You begin painfully slowly palming him through his shorts, feeling him grow under you.
"I hope you lose," you whisper sensually into his ear.
He scowls at you as you pull away completely. Leaving him hard, exposed, and blushing as you return to your new friends.
______
The cheers from Karasuno's supporters hadn't quieted down as the team packed up. Still high on adrenaline and pride for your baby cousin, you took the time to use the bathroom before the long drive home.
Rounding the corner you heard voices, recognizing one to be Oikawa and the other belonging to a deep voiced man.
Sneaking a peak your eyes go wide. He was face to face with Ushiwaka. The former not fairing well in the conversation. You didn't think a man could look for upset than the way Oikawa looked right now.
As the conversation comes to a close, you wait until Oikawa has gone out if sight to chase after him. Accidentally running into Ushiwaka.
"sorry" you mumble, attempting to move past.
"you're with karasuno, yes?" Ushiwaka asks.
Your mind didn't really register him, instead giving him a quick pat on the shoulder and a "that's great, buddy," as you run after the brunette.
Hearing an "I look forward to playing them." In the distance.
"Hey!"
He was too far ahead to really hear you, pushing past the front doors.
"HEY!" You yell, nearly at his heels. You stand in the doorway breathing hard, "TOORU!"
He turns to face you, Iwaizumi annoyed that he can't convince their captain to just get on the bus already.
You beckon him over and he skeptically approaches you.
"here to gloat?" He asks, his voice lacking the usual sharpness.
"Tobio is staying at Hinata's tonight and my aunt is out is town for the next two days," you say.
You see the cogs working as he pieces together what you're offering. His mouth forming an 'o' shape as he realizes.
You smile smugly before running back to where Karasuno's bus is parked, giving Tobio a running jump hug, which he awkwardly returned.
__
If nothing else, Oikawa was punctual. Arriving at exactly at 7:30. You hadn't done anything special, just heated up 2 frozen pizzas that your aunt had left. Watching his form as he quietly ate his 3 cheese. He hadn't said a word besides "thank you" after you'd served him. While yes, apart of you meant when you'd said that you hoped he lose but the guilt of seeing the cocky bastard looking so small on the other side of the table, nibbling on the crust. Pity maybe?
"You played really we-"
His eyes were red, his pride keeping him from crying in front of you. "I don't want to talk about it."
"You want to have sex?"
he hesitated before asking, "can we be nice?"
You nodded. Making your way to his chair, straddling his hips and cupping his face. You kissed him slow and deliberate. You don't kiss long before you start to feel his dick springing to life. You stand up pulling him, walking backwards, towards your room accidentally walking into the partially open door.
"Graceful," he commented, a hint of his salty tone under his words as he resumed kissing you.
You grinded against each other for a few moments, drinking in each others moans. You pulled away momentarily, his cheeks dusted pink, breathing heavy, his dick straining in his pants.
"You're so beautiful," you said. He blushed harder, his cock twitching in it's confines. Your fingers dip under the waistband of his pants and pull them down, licking your lips when his cock hits his stomach. You're about to press your lips to his tip when you feel pressure on your forehead.
"y-you don't have to..." he says. You cock your head to one side, your lips parted as you gaze up at him. "I-I get it you know... I don't hold it against you..."
"I want to," you say, "if you want me to."
He nods slowly, his eyes fluttering shut as he enters your warm mouth.
Out of all the sex you'd had, this moment with Tooru didn't feel like sex. It felt like making love.
After he got close, you popped your mouth off and had ridden him. His muscles still sore from his games. Your lips danced with his as his hips met yours. Both of you reaching your climax simultaneously.
Tired in the best way, you cuddle up to his bare chest, kissing his cheek, "don't think this means I like you, flatass."
"of course," he says, relaxing into your touch.
"good."
"it was the fact that my dick was down your throat that made be think that."
You punch him in the ribs, earning an 'ouch' followed by a quiet, "let me have one win today." Followed by an even quieter "sorry" from you.
You place a gentle kiss on his cheek again before returning to your snuggle position. He wraps his arms around your waist as you both drift off to sleep.
______
It's been a number of days and neither if you had spoken about it. You wanted to text him a simple 'good morning' but the image of him quietly shuffling out of your room at the crack of dawn when he thought you were still sleeping, placing a gentle kiss on your temple. You didn't want to seem too eager or somehow let on that not only were you awake but had enjoyed when he'd done it.
After the girls had lost to Fukurodani's girls in the semi finals, Ryu had insisted on dragging you out to play volleyball with her and some 'friends'. You secretly hope it's the other girls from your team. You find yourself not disappointed that it's Iwaizumi and Oikawa.
"Warm up 'Yama!" Oikawa yells at you, serving the ball in your direction as you and Ryu approach.
Caught off guard for a moment, you return the ball back at him, hitting his face lightly with an oof.
Of course, Ryu wanted to set for her boyfriend, leaving you with Oikawa.
You made a pretty good team, he picked up your style quickly, the ball exactly where you wanted it without having to tell him anything. Not to mention that Oikawa had racked up a third of the points on service aces alone, Iwaizumi finally adjusting to being on the receiving end on them. He and Ryu had made a magnificent comeback, clearly having practiced with each other before. You were lucky if you could get a piece of one of Iwa's spikes, Tooru faired better but they quickly took the lead. You grab Oikawa's arm, causing him to look at you curiously.
"set it to me, but I'll set it back. You spike it," you said, finishing your sentence by looking at him.
He considers it.
"break it up love birds!" Iwa shouted at you. Ryu making obnoxious kissing noises behind him. You quickly let go of his arm to flip her off, causing her to burst out laughing.
Iwa serves.
"it's mine!" Tooru yells. Mid jump, he faces you, the subtlest of winks as the ball flies into the air.
Smiling, you angle your body for a spike, Ryu taking the bait, but at the last moment, your hand sent the ball perpendicular to the net, straight into Oikawa's hand. The ball whizzing past Iwa's ear.
The adrenaline getting the better of you as you both embrace, celebrating a successful kill.
You revel in you best friend and her stoic boyfriend exchanging a bewildered look.
At the end of the game Oikawa offers to drive you home, when out of the way of prying eyes, he leans against his car. "Before your cousin goes to nationals, he and shorty should play against us."
"Yeah and maybe Tobio can set for me one round," you say, playing with the hem of his shirt, "but if there's any funny business from you, I'm calling it off."
"Who, me??" he jokes, aware of his history with your family.
You don't respond, opting to gently press your lips to his. He returns the kiss, cupping your face.

Ikea is one of my favorite places to go to so I think this would be really fun. I also have been binge reading Ikea headcannons. This may or may not just be an excuse to think about domestic life with Oikawa...

Oikawa is the type of person to go into those little show rooms and say “This is it! This is our apartment right here”
He gets distracted by every little thing, and I mean every little thing
Mans is like a whole ass child.
You guys could be walking by the TV consoles and he’ll just leave the cart in the middle of the aisle to go look at—and fantasize—about where that specific red metal locker-looking TV console would go
He’ll run up to different displays, point to them, and turn to you with literal sparkles in his eyes and go “Y/N! Y/N-chan! Wouldn’t this go great in the living room?”
You enjoy seeing his child-like smile as he eagerly visualizes how your apartment would be decorated so you let him play interior designer
He honestly is pretty good at creating a cohesive room and you firmly believe that if he wasn’t married to volleyball, he’d definitely be doing something creative
Definitely checks himself out in the mirror section
𝐊𝐞𝐢 𝐓𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐚
This man looks bored out of his mind
You’re like running around the store picking up different things and putting them back, throwing stuff into the cart, asking him whether he prefers the canvas or fleece throw pillows, and he’s just pushing the cart and smiling at you
After playing around with the strings of a questionable looking chandelier(??), he remarks that “it’s the ugliest lighting fixture I’ve ever seen”
You’re definitely excited enough for the both of you
He trusts your judgement in the furniture choices for the new place, as he doesn't particularly care, but he makes sure to tell you if something is absolutely horrendous
Acts pretty indifferent until you get to the kids section
He’ll quickly and smoothly slip away from your side to go look at the dinosaur plushies
“You’re a grown ass man and you’re still looking at stuffed animals?”
“Pfffft no,” he says while rolling his eyes and gently placing the triceratops back into the bin
“It’s okay. It’s cute,” you say while placing a chaste kiss on his cheek and throwing the toy into the cart before running away
𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐮 𝐌𝐢𝐲𝐚
Osamu’s favorite part about going to Ikea is visiting the restaurant before the shopping begins, and the little eatery by the registers at the end
This man is counting down the seconds until he can eat one of those warm cinnamon rolls
Nonetheless, he proves to be pretty useful in the decision making between furniture
You can kinda go crazy while picking what to put in your new apartment, but he’ll be there to remind you if something won’t fit or if something doesn’t go with the rest of the decor
Let me tell you, this guy is a whole wanderer
You’re the one left pushing the cart most of the time because he’ll just walk away from it to go look at something else
At the same time, he’s also the type to go into those faux apartments, sit on the couch, and tell you to go look around while he waits there
Will sneak up behind you while you’re looking at picture frames and give you a lil tap on your ass when no ones looking so he can see your cheeks flush red
You guys probably pick plants for each other when you get to the end
𝐊𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐚
You’re both equally crazy
Like borderline getting kicked out crazy
At least one of you owns one of those limited edition Ikea bucket hats
Neither of you can be trusted with the cart
You’d both be feeling up all the rugs in the carpet section and then it’ll click
Both of you look up at each other at the same time, your eyes wide, like “Where’s the cart?!”
It’s safe to say that at the end of the day, your place is going to look like an organized mess
Colors and shapes clashing in all the right ways
It’s almost abstract?
Anyway, you guys are probably taking turns sitting on all the mattresses, all the chairs, and all the sofas you come across
At some point, when you both get tired of running around, you find yourself standing behind the counter of one of the kitchen displays imagining what your new life’s going to be like, when Suga suddenly comes up behind you and hugs you by the waist
“Can you believe it?”
“Believe what?” you say turning around so that you’re facing each other with your back against the marble island
“This could be our kitchen,” he took a step forward to trap you between his arms, “We have a home, baby”
“I wouldn't have it any other way,” you whisper into his ear as you snuggle your face into his neck, taking in his scent like there's no tomorrow
He spins you around and says, “Let’s go,” to continue your adventure
You find it really cute that he makes sure to get some of those arts and crafts supplies for his class

She smiled softly as her fingers sifted through his dark brown hair. It was soft, like touching clouds. A sense of warmth bloomed in her heart as he shifted slightly on her chest. She giggled as his hair tickled the tip of her nose. She was happy. Happy. Content. Content with this. With him. Whatever it was. She buried her face in his hair, smelling the waft of cherry blossoms, a light citrus smell enveloped within. She took a deep breath, memorizing the scent as if trying attaching herself with the scent. The scent of her comfort. And happiness. She sighed, as she rested her face on his head. He squirmed on her, lookup, nudging her head of him.
"You're sighing a lot." he murmured, looking up at her with sparkling brown eyes. She rolled her eyes, jokingly, pushing his head back down.
"Nothing much."
"Really?" his voice was muffled in her chest, sending a vibration through her body. Her heart fluttered. Crazily. A small heat made its way up her neck. She whacked the back of his head, softly, as he let out a small 'hmph'.
"Of course I am, Crappykawa. Now shut up." She laughed as he whipped his head in shock, an outraged expression plastered on his face, but his eyes glowed. It was beautiful. His eyes. They were breath-taking. Every bit of her happiness, her joy, her comfort lay in those eyes. Those beautiful eyes. She felt herself getting lost in them. In happiness. The warmth continued to spread as continued to watch his eyes, glitter, and glow. He really was a star. Her star. Her everything. He just didn't know it.
"Don't call me that, Y/N-chan, Iwa-chan already calls me that." he pouted, resting his chin on her chest. She lightly tapped his nose, letting out a small 'boop'. He scrunched it in return, sticking out his tongue.
"Because it suits you." she teased, "Crappykawa."
"I'm not crappy you guys are just rude, Sakura doesn't call me that." he continued to whine, as he rested his head back on her chest.
"What does she call you then," she asked, "Beautykawa?" She giggled at the thought of the name. Beautykawa. It really did suit him. She looked down fondly as he pursed his eyebrows in thought.
"No, she never makes fun of me. Only you guys do."
"Really, now?" she joked, raising her hand in defense as he gave her an incredulous glare as if saying 'Of course not'.
She chuckled. Of course not. She had thought, much like the rest of the volleyball team, that this girl would be the same as the rest. Would be the same as the ex's who exploited his giving personality and charm. Just a pretty face. But, they had come to find out that maybe she was different. Different. And perfect for him. Where his past exes were cruel, she was kind and thoughtful, often bringing snacks to practice. Where his exes were oblivious to his feelings, she was attentive. Aware that he was more than the fake smile he had plastered on his face. Indeed, Y/N thought, she really was perfect for him.
She remembered the tight clench of her heart as if someone had physically grasped at it. But, she smiled. She smiled at Oikawa. At the girl who had come into his life, kicking her out. She had no say, why would she. She was just his friend. Just one of the boys. Just someone else. She really didn't mean much to him, not in the way her heart yearned for him. No. He had made it clear, on multiple occasions that there was nothing more than platonic between them. Nothing more than friends.
But she was okay with that. She was content, with just these moments. These small moments that make her believe that one day that he would come to her. Yet, it hurt. It hurt so bad. Oh god, it how it hurt. The sharp tugs as Sakura jumped in his open arms. The forceful prods as he gave her a small peck on the cheek. It hurt. The pain was almost unbearable. Almost. But, she was okay with it. She just had to believe in it. That hurt. That it would be worth it in the end.
She had tried, many times, to forget. Forget him. Forget the large bridge that lay between them. But, it was hard. Hard looking at other guys and looking at him and knowing— being fully aware— that he was enclosed in another's hold. That he was kissing someone else other than her. That those eyes, those beautiful eyes, were shimmering for someone else. Even his scent, his usual cherry blossom scent, wasn't his own. Not anymore. The citrus scent clung to him, no matter what. Another agonizing reminder that he was not hers. Not now. Not ever. It will never— much to her sorrow— be her arms he comes into. She would never be the one to comfort him, with kisses and caresses. It will never be her. Never. But, she was okay with that. She was okay. She was perfectly fine. She was—
A tear dropped down her cheek, landing perfectly on Oikawa's head. He groggily looked up, eyes fluttering open as he took in her tear-filled eyes. He fell off her, as he sat up, landing with a thud on her room's floor.
"Y/N?" he anxiously asked, looking at her, "Did I hurt you. Are you—"
"I'm fine." she croaked out, tears flowed down her cheeks as she gave him a smile. "I'm okay with it."
Yes. She was okay. Okay with it. With everything.
"Y/N," he stressed as tears poured down her face, "Y/N." He sounded scared, her voice wavered slightly, He looked confused. And worried. He grabbed at her heart again, digging her nails into her shirt.
"I'm okay with it, Oikawa," she whispered, looking down, unable to stare into his eyes. Unable to look at the glimmer and remember it wasn't her that brought him that. She wasn't the one giving him happiness. Comfort. She was selfish. Taking and taking yet, unable to give anything back. Unable to even give him a drop of the joy he gave her. Oh god, she was so selfish.
"With what, Y/N talk to me. We're friends, right? You can—"
The word echoed in her head. Friends. Oh, how cruel. One word. Friends. That she was. All she would ever be. Friends. No, tears poured harder, and she let go of a sob that had gripped her throat. It hurts. It hurts soo much. It hurts.
"I'm sorry, Oikawa." she whimpered, "I—"
Her voice cracked, she couldn't speak. She couldn't do anything. But allow the sobs to rupture from her chest. From her heart. She didn't know why. But it hurt so goddamn much. Why. Why. He was only one person. Why—
"Why does it hurt so much?" she sobbed, gripping her throat as words poured out, "Why. Why."
"Y/N, you're scaring me," he whispered, backing away a bit. "Do you need anything?"
Yes. You. Next to me. You. To be mine. Forever.
"Are you okay?"
No.
"What do you want me to do."
Tell me, that one day you'll love me.
"Nothing." A small smile plastered on her face, as wiped her face. "I'm sorry. I'm okay."
"No, you're not. Y/N. You're crying, how is that even a bit, okay."
"I know. I know, Tooru. It sounds soo stupid but," she looked down, she couldn't look at him. Not when she was like this. A mess. "I believe in that hurt."
"And it's okay. I'll wait," she whispered the last part, bringing her knees to her chest. She'll wait. Forever, if she had too.
"You'll wait for what. Y/N talk to me. We're friends, so please..." he trailed off as a familiar hum rung from his pocket. He angrily shuffled in his pocket, muttering a few curses as he pulled out his phone. And she watched, her chest hurting more, as the anger vanished from his face. He scrunched his brows and a light spark flickered in his eyes.
"Its Sakura." he mumbled, hesitating to press the 'accept' button. She watched as his face conformed into one of pain. It gripped her heart tighter than anything else. No. No. She couldn't give him happiness, not even comfort, but she would not give him pain. Not pain. She rubbed her eyes, giving him a fake smile.
"Take it Crappykawa," he paused, looking at her in shock, opening in his mouth in protests, stopping when he saw the expression in her face. The pain. The hurt. "Or else, you really will be crappy." She gave him another smile, the biggest one she could conceive.
"But,..." he looked down at the phone and back at Y/N. She gave him a firm nod, waving him off.
"Go, go Oikawa, you don't want to keep your princess waiting, now do you?" she teased, but it came out dry. He gave her a small smile, his eyes sparkling quietly as he looked back to the phone, pressing the button.
"Hey, Saku-baby," he spoke into the phone, looking back once to wave Y/N a small goodbye. He mouthed, thanks, before softly closing the door. She heard the echo of his footsteps as he walked down the stairs and crossed the living room to the front door. She felt herself loosen a breath as the front door shut.
She let herself go, the smile dropping the second she knew he wouldn't come back. Her chest dropped as a notification pinged on her phone. Through the blurry tears, she read the text.
From: Crappykawa 💝😍
To: Y/N ❣❣❣❣❣
Get well soon.
She read the text, a tear dropping on her phone. She felt a pang in her chest and another tug as her phone buzzed again.
From: Crappykawa💝😍
To: Y/N ❣❣❣❣❣
💝
She tapped on his profile, fingers shaking as they hovered over the block button. She could block him. Give him space. Give herself space. But, she couldn't do it. She couldn't take such a big step. Not now. Not when her heart fervently yearned for him.
She tapped quickly on her phone, then chucking it across her bed. She buried her nose in her arms as curled into a tight ball.
description: you loved him, with each inch you had. you couldn’t cut him out of your life that easily that’s why you wrote him letters, after he crushed your heart. it was the only way to feel connected to him.
a/n: I don’t know why but I was suddenly very, very motivated to continue writing this. This “fic” was one of the first things I ever posted here. I don’t even know if anyone read the first part or not but to those who wanted another part: here you go!
Dear Oikawa,
do you remember our first anniversary? It was only a month so it wasn’t that big of a deal but I still got you those shoes you were eyeing.
I wish that you would have remembered.
Up to this day you curse your own stupidity. All the signs were there but you just ignored them. After everything that happened you can confirm that the saying love makes blind is, in fact, true.
You apologized so many times for forgetting our one month anniversary and hugged me so tight, I could barely breathe. Even if I was hurt, I accepted your apology nonetheless.
But maybe I shouldn’t have cast that accident aside. I should have stayed wary.
You were always on your phone at every single date of ours. Once I asked you to get off your phone but you only glanced at me.
The next thing I remember was the humiliating feeling you gave me because you left me alone in the middle of a restaurant.
That night you walked the dark streets alone. Not like you weren’t used to it anyway because whenever your dates ended, Oikawa did everything but bring you home. Back then you thought every relationship works that way, that movies were truly just movies.
Do you remember my birthday?
Some of my friends got me presents and threw a little party for me. My parents took me out to my favorite place. When we went back home my dad threw cake on my face so I had to return him the favor. Later on, my mom joined us. Our kitchen looked horrible but up to this day I cherish that memory a lot.
It was truly an amazing day. I think I still have frosting up my nose until this day.
Hey, Oikawa, do you remember my birthday?
Because you didn’t.
You liked your birthdays. Except for that one because you cried yourself to sleep that night. Not even a text was worth his time to wish you a happy birthday. You trusted him too much so why were you so hurt when you saw him betraying you? How didn’t you notice it beforehand? What was wrong with you back then that made you fall in love with Oikawa?
I felt so stupid, letting you stay by my side like an idiot. I wonder why I was so surprised and hurt to see you with another girl?
It was obvious after all. You didn’t love me but I was too happy with you as my first boyfriend.
The next day, you showed up, your hand in hers.
I tried to ignore the pain I felt in my heart and the tears that were stinging at the back of my eyes.
You left her side when you saw me but I quickly turned around. It wouldn’t be exaggerated to say I was running away from you but you still managed to grab my hand and turn me back so I could face you.
That girl- Excuse me, your girl was giving me glares. Even you have to agree with me that she was wrong, right? After all, it should have been me giving glares but I was embarassed and the two of you made me feel like I was in the wrong.
I didn’t want to hear your apologies so I broke up with you right there before you could even mutter a word and left.
Hopefully you can understand that at the very least I wanted to be the one ending that relationship. I had every right to do so after all.
You cry after finishing the second letter.
After all you do regret not listening to him back then.

Moonlight — Ariana Grande
You are astonished at the sheer luck you’ve been granted to have been right here, right now, right next to him. Listening to the waves crash against the shore in a rhythmic yet unpredictable pattern—each footprint left behind merely a mockery of the last. Your hands were laced together, fingers intertwined, and it felt like the last piece of a puzzle fitting perfectly where it was meant to be. You wondered to yourself if this feeling of warmth that spread all throughout your chest and reached the tips of your toes, was what it felt like to hold the world in your hands. He glowed effervescent in the moonlight, pupils blown, smile shining brighter than the sun. You felt the muscles in your cheeks rise and the corners of your mouth upturn. It was serene. You were both at peace, living as if you were the last two to roam the Earth.
The love you had for this man was indescribable. It was embedded in your bones, it was running through your veins, it was engraved in your organs, and it filled every fibre of your being until it felt impossible to breathe unless he was around. You were in awe of every single one of his features as the shadow of night casted over his face. You adored every single one of his vices as much as you did his virtues. He stood a vessel of hope in the dark, a single spark of flame in a cavern, the first sip of water in the throat of a desert traveller. He replenished every single one of your senses in the moments you felt numb, and yours were the arms he always searched for in the dead of dawn. He was so agonizingly handsome that you could feel the devil’s envy seething up through the cracks in the ground from the depths of hell. You’ve never been happier than when his warm albeit tender yet calloused fingertips brushed against the delicate skin of your pretty little ring finger as the contrasting cool of metal found refuge wrapped around it—leaving goosebumps in its wake. You were so utterly and completely grateful for the coincidence that both of you happened to be on the same plane of existence at the same time.
