Lonely (Reader x Cas)
Summary: Imagine finding Cas sitting on a bench after a huge fight

you had just witnessed a huge fight between the Winchesters and Cas, which let to Cas disappearing.
“Was that really necessary?” – you tell Dean once Cas disappeared, looking at him with your arms crossed.
“It’s not my fault he’s such a baby” – Dean said trying to explain his actions.
“Dean” – you shouted “He doesn’t deserve to be treated like this, not by any of you” – you kept looking back and forth to Dean and Sam.
“I’m sorry” – Sam said soft looking shy at the ground.
You kept your arms crossed and glanced back at Dean “Well?”.
“What” – Dean shouted, and you stared even harder at him.
“Unbelievable” – you sighed “aren’t you going to say sorry?”
“No, I’m not it’s his fault, he should have listen to me” – Dean said raising his voice and still looking at you.
“Don’t be stubborn Dean, He didn’t mean it like that” – you came closer to Dean and Sam “and we both know it”.
“I’m not stubborn Y/n” – He said to you “He needs to learn the consequences of his actions”.
“Like you never make any mistakes” – you scoffed.
Sam got in between the two of you “Enough both of you, we don’t need another fight”.
You didn’t keep your eyes of Dean as Sam was standing in the middle.
“Some friend you are” – you muttered.
Dean’s rage flew through the sky “You want to say that again Y/n?”
“Alright enough” – Sam yelled as he tried to hold back Dean who was ready to fight you.
“Really Y/n thanks a lot” – Sam said still holding Dean “You made it worse”
Dean tried to lose himself from Sam’s grip “it’s always my fault isn’t it?” – you shouted.
Taking your distance from them you turned around and went looking for your coat.
Behind you, you heard Dean say, ‘I’m calm, I promise”.
You saw your coat and picked it up, when you turned around again Sam was standing close to you.
“Where are you going Y/n?” – he asked with his puppy eyes.
You sighed “I’m going to find Cas”.
“Alone?”
“Yes” – you added
As you walked past Sam he took your hand and you looked at him once you felt his touch.
“Be careful” – he said soft “I know I can’t stop you but…”
“I promise” – you replied as you touched his chest and looked up “I’ll be extra careful”
You turned away from him and locked eyes with Dean.
You froze for a moment before you moved, as you walked past him you said soft “I’m sorry” and left.
It was cold outside, but it didn’t bothered you, you had to find Cas.
You took a deep breath and walked into the town.
Eyes scanning the area there was no sign of him.
You pretty much walked into every public place to see if he was there but no results.
Growing more desperate by the hour you decided to look in one more pub.
You entered the place and walked towards the barman.
“afternoon miss, can I get you something?”
You let yourself fall into a chair and replied, “Sure why not” you sighed “something strong please”.
The barman nodded and poured you a strong drink.
“You alright love?” – he asked as he was drying a glass.
You let you head fall into your hands “Is it that obvious?”
He putted down the glass and took another one, “Want to talk about it?”.
“I’ve been searching for someone for hours, but I can’t find him”
“Boyfriend?” – the barman asked
You chuckled “No, I mean …. it’s complicating”
“I see” – he replied raising an eyebrow “what does he look like, maybe anyone has seen him”
You started to describe Cas “well, black hair, blue eyes and he wears a long trench coat”
The barman was thinking as you summed up his features.
“Sorry love” – he then said, you sighed and look a sip of your drink.
“Thanks anyway” – you replied and finished your drink.
Paying the man, you got up and started to walk towards the door when someone stopped you.
A woman stopped you by turning you around by your shoulder “Excuse me I heard you were looking for someone?”.
“Yes” – you replied, “Did you see him?” – feeling a scent of hope through your body.
“I’m not sure it was him, but I did saw someone in the park that fits your description”
Your eyes grew bigger and a smile appeared on your face “Thank you so much”
You shook the women’s hand and greeted the barman before you ran outside.
“Could it be him” - you thought as you were running around “Please let it be him”
You reached the park and started to shout out his name, no one answered but you kept shouting and running. “Cas, were, are you?”
Running out of air you stopped to catch your breath, breathing heavy you held your knees to control your breath.
Once you recovered a bit you got up and saw a figure sitting on a bench across from the stream.
“Cas” – you shouted, and you saw he lifted his head.
“Cas” – you called out again “stay there I’m coming”.
He wanted to get up but stayed as he heard you call out you were coming, he then saw the stream and before he called out your name you were already taking a few steps back to make the jump.
Taking a deep breath, you saw Cas trying shout something at you.
“Y/n, are you insane it’s too far!”
You ignored his comment and began to run towards the stream, Cas had his eyes fixed on you.
“Y/n” – he shouted before you made the jump, you were so close, but you underestimated the length and you bumped against the edge falling into the water.
“Y/n” – Cas shouted again, and he rushed towards you “Are you insane”
you swam to the edge and Cas reached out his hand to pull you out.
You were soaking wet and shivering, Cas gave you his coat once he saw you shiver.
“You are unbelievable” – he added.
Still shaking from the cold you tried to speak “I…I …know”
Cas lead you to the bench where he was sitting, and you sat next to him.
He stared into de distance and you looked over at him.
Once he noticed that you were staring at him he broke the silent by stretching his back and asking you why you were her?
“isn’t is obvious” – you said “I came looking for you”
You heard him sigh “you didn’t have to Y/n, I’m fine”
“No, you’re not” – you added “Dean shouldn’t have reacted like that”
“He’s right” – he said soft “I never think about what might happen”
You couldn’t believe that he was agreeing with all of this, you tried to take his hand but before you could touch it he pulled it away
Shocked by his action you felt frustration come up “I’m trying to help you”
“don’t” – he snapped at you “I don’t deserve it”
“Cas what are you talking about?” – still trying to figure out what is going on.
“Just leave it Y/n” – he refused to look at you “I always hurt the people close to me".
“you don’t actually believe all of this do you?” – you replied soft looking at him.
He still refused to look at you, so you turned his head towards you, but he released it from your touch.
“Why won’t you look at me” – you suddenly shouted, startling him but he still didn’t speak.
You’ve had enough of his actions, so you got up and stood in front of him.
“I have no idea why you are suddenly like this, but you do not get to shut me out” – you shouted at him.
“Leave me alone Y/n” – he suddenly said lifting his head to look at you.
“I’m not going anywhere” – you added stubborn.
“Isn’t there some guy you should seduce?”
You hit him in the face and tears started to roll down your face.
He was surprised by your action and kept looking at the ground.
His cheek turned red and you shouted at him “You do not get to talk to me like that, like I’m some whore” – you added still crying.
You’ve had enough so you took of his coat and threw it in his face “You wanted to be left alone? Fine… then be alone”
Cas looked at you once his coat landed on his face and grabbed it.
You were leaving as Cas realised what he had done, you heard soft whimpering and you stopped.
Still with your back towards Cas, you heard soft cries.
You turned around and saw a crying Cas on the ground with his hands before his eyes.
“I’m sorry Y/n” – you heard him soft cry out.
you decided to forgive him and sat in front of him.
“I’m sorry” – you added soft and placing your hand on his head.
He flinched at bit at your touch but let your hand rest there.
“why do I always push the people I love away” – he said more to himself then to you.
“I deserve to be lonely” – he quickly added crying even more.
You lifted his head “You don’t have to be lonely”.
You felt him gazing at you and you blushed a bit “Cas” – you said placing your hand on his chest “You shouldn’t be so hard on yourself”.
He didn’t lose his gaze and replied, “but it’s the truth, you saw it today I always hurt the people I care about”.
“Cas, don’t worry about today Dean will forgive you” – you said smiling “I will make sure of that”.
He looked so sad and vulnerable at the same time, you wanted to wrap him up and protect him from all the pain and misery.
“were did I deserve someone like you” – he said soft.
You giggled and saw his eyes light up once he heard you laugh.
“Shall we go home?” – you asked him.
He nodded, and you helped him get up, once he stood he pulled you close into a hug.
You hugged him back and he whispered in your ear “Thank you Y/n, I will never push you away. Ever!”.
You pulled away and place a soft kiss on his forehead, Cas finally smiled again.
He then gave his coat back to you and the two of you walked home.
Sam and Dean jumped up from their chair once they heard the door unlock.
“Y/n, Cas” – Sam said rushing over to the two of you.
Dean looked at the ground a bit, not knowing how to act.
“Why are you wearing Cas his coat” – Sam asked once he got a better look at you.
“Oh” – you said laughing “I fell into the water”.
“You must be cold Y/n, I’ll get you some warm clothes” – Dean suddenly said surprising everyone.
Dean came back a little later with fresh warm clothes.
“Now go warm up” – he ordered you while pushing you into the bathroom.
You tried to respond but he didn’t let you.
Standing in the bathroom you placed your ear against the door and heard Dean and Cas talking.
It wasn’t clear but seeing Dean’s actions earlier you thought they must be making it up.
You were done and stepped out of the bathroom, everyone was by your surprise happy again.
They were all talking and laughing, once they noticed you they stopped and turned their attention towards you.
“Feeling warmer already” – Sam asked, and you nodded.
You joined the three of them and you looked over at Cas and saw his cheek was still a bit red, so you said sorry to him and he replied, “I deserved it”.
“I believe I own everyone an apology” – Dean said “Y/n I’m sorry”.
“all forgiven” – you replied with a smile and Dean place a kiss on your forehead.
“We are really blessed to have you here Y/n” – Sam continued.
You laughed “You guys are unbelievable”.
