Posted this on BlueSky but then remembered the potential power of tumblr, so...
This is a small skull my mum got when she helped a friend clean out a room with old stuff, mouldy furniture, dust and cobwebs (in an old chicken coop, I think it was). At first she thought it was plastic but upon further inspection it turned out to be real. She gave it to me figuring I'd like it.
Now I'm curious as to what kind of animal this could be from! It looks like a small primate of some kind, and at first I thought it could be a macaque or something related. However the teeth doesn't really look the part as far as I can tell.
Though my knowledge of primates is very low. My knowledge of skulls is too, despite how often I draw and sculpt them. So if I want to have a chance to get to know what this individual could have been in life, I need to ask around for help.
I feel like I'd like to give them a name, too. But I'd like to know more about them before I decide anything.
