How we feeling in the twn fandom today lads?
Ooh the Only Friends Dream On shining a light on how the BL sausage gets made is one of my favorite games.
this might just be a personal rant but --one of the reasons why i don't want to acknowledge Gwen's implications of being trans in the movie is because of her history in the comics of kissing an underage teenager that being Miles while she herself was a whole adult about 21 years old and Miles is 16, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they want to push trans representation through a character that has done something as disgusting as getting with a minor character
🚨🚨🚨HELLO THIS IS ANOTHER REALLY GOOD POINT AND YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY SPEAK ON IT PLEASE AND THANK YOUUUU🚨🚨🚨
I can’t help but liken this to the whole Harry Potter Professor Snape recasting debacle; like yes, make the characters more woke and diverse absolutely, but also you should be double checking to make sure that you’re not accidentally making unsavory implications
For all my negativity, and all the attempts by haters to pretend The Witcher getting cancelled was their win, it really is an amazing win that it was renewed for TWO whole seasons after its incredibly famous lead left, relentless review bombing, and misinformation campaigns. It already had a lot going against it in so many ways, by being unusual, complex, and more diverse than the anti-woke bigots can abide. Actually going through with season four would have been a miracle to me, but being officially renewed for TWO seasons (whatever comes to fruition) was beyond my expectations! 🙌

so as my workplace's resident muppets "expert", i tend to bring up muppet-castings of different films every once in a while. i work for a store that caters to hobbyists, so these conversations aren't necessarily out of place, however they do get kinda strange.
recently, my coworker and i got into a debate over who would be who in a muppet-casting of dune. we agreed that kermit would be duke atreides, miss piggy would be lady jessica, sam the eagle would be the emperor, and fozzie would be baron harkonnen. we had more, but those are the important ones.
the issue comes to this: i was arguing that either paul or chani should be the human character (with the same casting as pt. 2), while my boss was arguing that stilgar should be the human. personally, i think gonzo playing stilgar would be hilarious, and having paul be the only non-muppet would be thematically appropriate. thoughts?
