i have quite a few projects going on right now (no one say anything about my 50+ wips) but have some of reckless buck that i finally made a lil bit of progress on!

Buck was aware of himself being loaded onto a stretcher and into an ambulance but he felt so tired he didn’t bother paying attention. He managed to answer their questions when they asked a few things but other than that, the trip was a quiet one.

They were almost at the hospital when one of the paramedics said, “Hey, should we call Diaz? I know that’s not exactly protocol but…y’know, they’re really close.”

“We already let Captain Nash know, I’m sure he’ll call Diaz. Plus, do you want to be the one who tells Diaz that Buckley is hurt?”

Buck wanted to open his mouth and tell them to please call Eddie, that Eddie’s voice was the only one he wanted to hear right now, but he couldn’t get his mouth to cooperate. He would just have to hope that Bobby called Eddie or that Maddie would after she got the emergency contact call. He felt bad for the stress he was about to cause her but hey, at least this time he didn’t die!

Inspiration Saturday!

so i'm slowly getting some 911 beans back i think! i've been working on fwb buddie and reckless buck today :3 have a lil snip from reckless buck that i was inspired to write

“I’m a nurse at St. Jude’s hospital and I was asked to give you a call by one Evan Buckley? He was brought in earlier tonight with injuries sustained in a car accident,” The woman explained.

Everything in Eddie froze. What?

“Sir? Are you still there?”

“What happened, is he okay? Is he— he’s okay, please tell me he’s okay,” Eddie pleaded, jumping up from the couch and shoving on his shoes, grabbing his keys from the little ceramic bowl that Buck had made when he and Christopher went to make pottery one day. Eddie’s heart had melted when Buck had shyly presented the bowl to him cause he knew that Eddie was always misplacing his keys at home. He brought his attention back to the present so he could focus on what the woman on the phone was telling him.

“He’s doing okay, he’s resting now,” The nurse explained sympathetically. “He was asking for you.”

“I’ll be there as soon as I can,” Eddie said, trying to shove his arms into his jacket without dropping the phone. “Twenty minutes tops.”

“Excellent, just come check in when you get here,” She said.

“Thank you,” Eddie replied and hung up, rushing out of the house without a backwards glance.

WIP Wednesday!

so i've already posted this through the writing games but i like this scene in reckless buck so i'm posting it again :3

They were quiet for a minute, just breathing in each other’s presence until Buck said, “I can’t believe I almost died. Again.”

Eddie swallowed roughly. “I know. I’m sorry.”

“Why are you sorry? It’s not your fault,” Buck said softly, hesitating for a minute before reaching out and taking Eddie’s hand, threading their fingers together. His heart beat quickly in his chest, he was finally holding hands with Eddie Diaz. Huh, maybe almost dying wasn’t so bad.

“I sent you away,” Eddie muttered, staring hard at their joined hands. Buck would worry that he was overstepping, that he was being weird by holding on to Eddie if it not for the way that Eddie clung to him, desperately holding on.

“Eddie,” Buck sighed. “It wasn’t anyone’s fault. You couldn’t have known that this would have happened when you asked for space— which is something I never want you to feel like you can’t ask from me.”

“Idon’twantspace, Ijustwantyou,” Eddie said in a rush, the words jumbling together.

“What was that?” Buck asked, turning a little so he could face Eddie as much as the position would allow.

Eddie sighed, his cheeks flushing. “I said: I don’t want space, I just want you.”

“You have me, Eds. Always,” Buck promised, squeezing his hand.

Seven Sentence Sunday!

i don't have much to share that i haven't already, i'm keeping the kitten fic to myself until its done as a surprise hehe so have some of reckless buck! if you've already seen this no you haven't

“E-Eddie?” He mumbled. He needed to get a nurses attention, maybe they’d call Eddie for him and he’d come.

Buck got lucky in that just as he was thinking about it, a nurse walked in and came to check on him. “Excuse me? Can you call someone for me?” Buck croaked out his question.

“Of course, honey. Just give me the number,” The nurse said.

Buck rattled off Eddie’s number and the nurse wrote it down, giving him a small smile before leaving the room. Buck sighed, letting out a small groan when he tried to adjust his position in the bed. God, his body hurt. Who knew that getting hit by a car hurt so much.

He had fallen into a light doze when the nurse came back into the room. He looked up at her through bleary eyes and she said, “Alright, your boyfriend is on his way and your emergency contact has been called. Is there anything else I can do for you?”

“Okay, note to self, don’t get hit by a car again,” Buck muttered, stretching as much as he could in Eddie’s vice-like grip.

“Excellent advice,” Eddie murmured sleepily. “Now go back to sleep.”

“I’m thirsty,” Buck croaked, trying to wiggle out of Eddie’s hold so he could go get some water. Eddie squeezed him slightly and he stopped moving.

“I’ll go get you some water,” Eddie said, pulling away reluctantly and stumbling out of bed.

In the meantime Buck set to work on carefully sitting up so he was leaning against the headboard when Eddie got back with his glass of water.

“Here.” Eddie handed him the glass and Buck gave him a grateful look before taking a hearty sip. When the water touched his throat it made him realize just how thirsty he was and he drained the glass in no time. “Do you want more?” Eddie asked, taking the glass back from him.

“No, I think I’m okay,” Buck replied, letting out a small, content sound.

Eddie placed the glass down on the nightstand and climbed back into bed. He mimicked Buck’s position and sat against the headboard.

Buck’s breathing hitched. “H-how do you want me?”

“I— you know what, let’s talk about this another time when you’re feeling better,” Eddie said, backing down. “You need more sleep.”

Bobby sighed. “He’s okay. Absolutely beat up, heatstroke, dehydration, but he’s okay.”

“Oh thank god,” Eddie mumbled, relief crashing into him so hard he was worried he was going to fall over. Buck was okay. He really was.

“Are you sure you want to deal with me? I can just stay with Maddie and Chim.” Eddie looked almost offended. “Buck, you’re staying with me and Chris. I didn’t realize that was even up for discussion.” Buck felt warmth spread through his chest at how resolute Eddie was. There were no ifs, ands, or buts. He would be staying with Eddie and that was final. “Okay, just checking.”
