February Devlog- Yandere Jam Game and Rectifier Redesigns?
Can time slow down, please? Sheesh, I know I'm busy, and this is the shortest month, but damn! It's already March!
Like January, we've been very productive, and I'm excited to share what's been done. First things first, before we get into the games.
Deindexing
As you may know, we released the Carved in Stone Expansion, and I want to say a massive thank you to those who've gone out of their way to play and purchase the expansion. It means a lot. (And I appreciate everyone's kind response to me accidentally making it free for a whole day LMFAO).
I want to say the release of Carved in Stone Expansion was all thanks to our patrons. I really am glad I went back and worked on it, but it did teach us a couple dev lessons. We will probably not be prioritizing NSFW projects going forward. Poor Carved in Stone has been deindexed since the summer of last year and hasn't recovered LOL. So, being able to sell a game people can barely find is already difficult, and we just have too many other projects to fully invest in marketing it to the degree we need to. It's better for us to sell games that don't have NSFW in them, just so people can find them, as we do with Criminally Yours. It's important to us that we're able to pay ourselves and our team back, as well as fund future projects.
Despite how much we personally love making mature games, it's just not very feasible in the current climate, and I don't want any other projects to go ghost, essentially lol.
With that being said, I won't say we will never do NSFW for games, but we will be a lot more strategic about how they are released and distributed. Luckily, we have a Patreon now, where all our games, NSFW and otherwise, can be accessed.
Meant to Bee Studios has become our place where we post our NSFW content if we have it, whereas we'd like to keep Skywrite Studios clean as can be for the foreseeable future.
So I'd highly suggest following us here on Meant to Bee and Skywrite Studios' itch page, so that even our invisible games can be found.
In Your Veins
Yandere jam is coming! This year, it ends on March 15th, which is in 2 weeks! We are making strides getting the rest of our own entry together, and we'll be able to release it in time. I am very proud of our team and what we've produced. It's so wonderful to get to work with the "Criminally Yours" team once again for another yandere jam game, and I hope you guys are as excited to play it as we were working on it.
It will be about a 2-3 hour experience covering the first half of the game and half of all 3 routes, all yanderes, a vampire named Cassius, a harpy named Arden, and a witch named Katya.
If you'd like the chance to meet these hotties (freaks) earlier. You can join our Patreon at the $3 tier to be one of the first to play it. And if you'd like the chance to playtest it, give us feedback, and be credited for your contribution, you can join at the $10 tier.

Double Fairy Feature for Blossom Jam 2026
My Sweet Fairy!
I'm happy to say the entire script for "My Sweet Fairy!" is complete, and now the art and programming can be finished. Then we'll have it ready in time for release, sometime in April. As it gets closer, we will have a more solid release date.
The whole game will be a 3-4 hour adorable contemporary fantasy half yuri/half otome romcom, where you can customize your femme mc (name, skin tone, and some other specific options in-game).
MSF! vs Ducky
Ducky is the second part of our fairy-themed games released for Blossom Jam. Despite both being romantic comedy otome games with fairies, the games are quite different.
As mentioned before, My Sweet Fairy! Has a custom MC, with a love interest who can be a woman or a man fairy, depending on what you'd prefer. My Sweet Fairy! Is super lighthearted and fun, something like a traditional romantic comedy movie from the 2000's.
Ducky, on the other hand, is purely fantasy, and this time you play as the fairy, specifically the title character, "Ducky", (a set MC), a small town fairy who dreams of renting an apartment in a human city. However, the journey is not safe for a little fairy, so she enlists the help of a veteran monster hunter, Gerrit. (He's older, as this project is also made for Ossan Jam.)
Ducky is pretty comedic throughout, but is also a story touching on identity, specifically Ducky's gender identity, as well as some other mature themes explored through the friendships and romance present.
Ducky will be a little longer than "My Sweet Fairy!" If I had to guess, I am in the middle of scripting it. 1/4th of the script is already 10k words, so LOL. I do believe it'll be 30-40k when everything is said and done.
Starfallen: Strength
We're participating in Otome Jam once again. We'll be submitting to "Battle Fantasy Jam" as well. "Starfallen: Strength" is a spiritual sequel to my RPG/VN "Lord of Lies" and a precursor to "Rectifier/Rectifier: In Bloom."
Though Strength will be able to be enjoyed regardless if you've played any of the two previously mentioned titles.
Play as both main characters: [left to right] Lennon and Petra. Each girl has 3 love interests each, meaning you'll be able to play 2 romance routes (out of a total of 6) at once in a single playthrough.
Bouncing between them as you are caught in a fantasy/action/mystery.
In this game, Lennon and Petra are both a member of the Sky Ward, a fortress that sits atop a mountain in the clouds, tasked with discovering the magical mysteries of the universe. Only a monster invasion plans to destroy all they've accomplished since their foundation.
The game will span a total of 3 total ACTS. Act 1 will be released for Otome Jam at about 3-5 hours roughly.
Lennon's Love Interests: [left to right] Verona [she/her], Deon [he/him], Colette [she/they].
Verona [v-ehr-o-nuh] (written by Lulu), the pragmatic leader of the Sky Ward and Lennon's mentor, and nothing more, because it would be inappropriate, unless…
Deon [dee-on] (written by Chris), Lennon's childhood friend, and a former gladiator. He may have an unrequited love for Lennon.
Colette [co-let] (written by Joy), a bubbly noble with exceptional skills as a ranger who loves to communicate with animals and flirt with Lennon whenever possible.
Petra's Love Interests: [left to right] Idris [he/they], Xavi [they/she], Faron [he/him].
Idris [ee-driss] (written by Joy), a mysterious wizard and arsonist? Idris is incredibly self-serving and has one thing, or rather, person, on his mind.
Xavi [z-ah-vee] (written by Grey), a priestess of Aelyr, devoted to their faith and to Petra, I mean everyone at the Sky Ward, of course…
Faron [fair-in] (written by Yuno), the newest member of the Sky Ward and an Aniterran (a half animal/half human race) who is fascinated by human nature, and Petra specifically.
Rectifier
Okay. So I've been hyping it up for quite a bit, but I am excited to say that we are working on Rectifier, the main game. While working on the main game, we had to consider a lot of things, one of which was a direction regarding the art. Our artist for Rectifier: In Bloom is truly wonderful, and we are so appreciative of all the hard work she's done for us, but after working on Rectifier for so long, the story and characters have evolved, and gotten a lot more serious. I am still hopelessly attached to the original designs, so it was imperative to me to make as few changes to them as possible, while correcting some issues I had with the designs in the past (all my fault, not the artist).
So I'm happy to showcase one of our most beloved love interests, entirely redesigned.
He's still the goofy, gluttonous man we knew him as before, but with a lot more detail regarding the sprites, which better suits the mood of the main game. It's been super nerve-racking for me to get new art for a game I've spent so many years with at this point. But I'm so glad we did!
Rectifier: In Bloom will always exist, and all the designs done for Rectifier still matter to me so much. So thank you, Gisselle, for working with me for so long and allowing us to go in another direction.
Shoutout to Dax for our new designs! They've been so accommodating, understanding, and delivered in a way I couldn't have thought possible! I hope everyone is excited for what's to come!
So that's it for February. March, I intend to finish drafting both Ducky's script, and Starfallen: Strength's to completion hopefully, as I'd love to take a break in April (to play Tomodachi: Living the Dream) and just generally take a break from writing, as I have a huge project I'll be announcing next devlog, that I'll be writing in May.
