🐲 Dragon Recommendation #3 🐲
RED DRAGON CODEX by R. D. Henham
📖 SYNOPSIS 📖
Mudd lives a peaceful life in his small town, tinkering with the mill and any mechanical devices that he can find. But his peaceful life soon changes when, out of nowhere, a red dragon attacks, burning the town and kidnapping Shemnara, the village seer. Only one clue is left behind--a cryptic note telling Mudd, "Seek the silver dragon."
⭐️WHY I RECOMMEND IT⭐️
The first book in the Dragon Codices series packs a punch as are given a fun cast of characters, including a pair of siblings, a vengeful dwarf, and a morally grey shapeshifter. The book is fast-paced and feels like a fantasy/action movie as you read it. There’s great character development as well!
After finishing one fantasy book, I will continue with another!
🔥 Red Dragon Codex by R.D. Henham
I’m debating on my next 🐲Dragon Book🐲 and I’ve narrowed it down to three options. We’ve got:
♥️ Red Dragon Codex by R.D. Henham
👑 His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik
💎 Dragonflight by Anna McCaffrey
Or I can just really go crazy and choose a short story collection 👀
Some of my newest partial entries in my reading journal. I started the Red Dragon Codex by R.D. Henham; and Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree.
I realized that the Dragon Codicies series actually has a reading order and is not just a free-for-all. You don’t HAVE to read them in order, but there are hints at other books within the series that make more sense if you read them in order.
It goes:
Red
Bronze
Black
Brass
Green
Silver
Gold
I’m reevaluating my reading order 😅
🔥 Red Dragon Codex by R.D. Henham
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
“I think you will always find that you can accomplish more in the company of friends than by yourself.”
Mudd and his sister must go on a quest to rescue their friend Shemnara from an evil red dragon, leading them to form unlikely bonds and discover the truth about themselves. Will they find the silver dragon that has the power to save their friend?
This is the first published book in the Dragon Codicies series by R.D. Henham. I’ve been reading them out of order, so I decided to start at the very beginning! This book was so so good if you’re looking for action and adventure. It’s fast-paced and filled with trials that push our heroes into further development. I’d say that Iroden that kender/elf was my favorite character because of his journey to get his form back.
When looking for a “dragon book”, are you looking for something with a main dragon character or a side dragon character?
