SBG LOCATIONS -- pt. one

just me with nothing else interesting to do in my life and taking the time to find all the locations... if anyone is interested: read more! i DO need help with this, btw...

alright, so we know that the gang lives in alto, georgia. the first thing i did was search up "bus graveyards in alto, georgia." guess what i got? a literal school bus graveyard in ALTO, GEORGIA. it's painted with gorgeous graffiti (accurate for the webtoon as well), and you can even find similarities in the artwork. then, i did some searching for houses near the bus graveyard. a couple minutes away was a neighborhood on "crane mill road" (crane? coincidence?) called "cedar creek subdivision." i looked around the neighborhood a little (there weren't any street view points available though) and thought that the houses looked pretty similar. i don't really want to insert random images of houses that people probably live in on the internet sooo... go check that out yourself <3 NEIGHBORHOOD: Cedar Creek Dr, Georgia 30510 Alonzo Wade Rd -- 1min drive, 9min walk

i found their school a bit easier to locate, and i found an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. it's only about a 15 minute drive from the houses. HIGHSCHOOL: Habersham Central High School, 2059 Old Hwy 197 S, Mt Airy, GA 30563 Cedar Creek -- 10min drive

we obviously already know that the sorrel weed house does, in fact, exist. but i'll put the location down anyway: THE OLD SORREL-WEED HOUSE: 6 W Harris St, Savannah, GA 31401 Habersham -- 5hr drive... but with rest stops, traffic, weather, and highschooler shenanigans? that could probably be amped up to a little above 7h. i know ash said 8h, but uhhhh...

and now, the hardest one, is probably the facility. i'm guessing this is some sort of made-up area, but hey, let's see... mmm okay nvm i can't find anything lmao. BUT... i can probably estimate the distance using information on anesthetics? ben and taylor were knocked out through inhaling an anesthetic through a towel--most likely chloroform. chloroform, however, is highly toxic, and the use has been discontinued. although this is true, people still have access to chloroform. the only other option is ester, but ester takes a heck of a long time to kick in, while chloroform takes about five minutes. (THIS IS ALL GOOGLED KNOWLEDGE I'M NOT A PSYCHO DON'T KILL MEE--) chloroform lasts 20-30 minutes once the towel is taken off. i'm going to guess that if you want to hide a facility where you smuggle "infected children," it wouldn't be only 20-30 minutes away. and that's not even counting the period they have to bring in the kids, change their clothes and search them, and put them in the rooms. therefore, if it was only chloroform, the ride should have only been about 10 minutes. that... can't be right. now, ashlyn got injected. it wasn't an IV drip, but rather a muscle injection. i'm going to guess it's ketamine. ketamine kicks in at around 3-5 minutes when inserted near the elbow (as we saw with ashlyn). the knock-out period is... also 30 minutes. dang it. okay. maybe they all were consistently injected? either way, the facility HAS TO BE far enough away from the school for it to not attract attention from curious highschoolers, but probably close enough to savannah/other rifts. the only other rift we know is where ashlyn was born: "mapleton avenue" (seen on the signs of her birth flashback) in (probably) alto, georgia. as much as i know, mapleton ave does NOT exist, and is just a fictional area. (the only other mapleton ave close by is in florida.) i'm going to guess that the facility is somewhere between the rifts, and also far enough (but also close enough) to the high school. FACILITY: ???

Unrelated to the SBG season three (general) announcement (winter can’t come fast enough), but if there is one thing I will always give Red credit for, it’s actually knowing how to separate the physical appearance of little kids, teens, and adults in her art style. You can immediately tell what general age someone is based on the size of their eyes, the age lines on their face, and their general proportions. It’s truly wonderful.

Plot Twist: Red's actual goal with her characters when it comes to Romance is to confuse us. One chapter, Ashler is appearing to be canon. The next? Taylyn. Sixty chapters after that??? Aidlyn.

Red *knows* the chemistry between her characters. And I think she's using it to confuse us to her best ability.

Heck, I'M confused. Is Ashler or Aidlyn gonna be canon? Tygan or Tyden??? Benlor??? Hello???? I'M SO LOST 😭😭😭

What'd be an even bigger plot twist is if Red is really doing this but then makes none of them canon. she just leaves us to speculate even after the webtoon has come to an end.

atp, with the parents being involved, it's safe to assume that if red wants to spice up the plot she's gonna somehow kill at least one of them

and while yes, most of us agree it's most likely not gonna be any of the banners given how badass they are, and likely not logan's grandparents (due to their ties with the fucking mafia 😭), everyone's discourse on the other parents differ

putting the banners and fields aside, we are left with the clarkes (aiden's + ben's parents) and mariana.

ben's parents are, in the most respectful way possible, absolute npcs 🙏 like these people really had their son nearly fucking get murdered, lose his damn voice, turn into a goddamn street gangster AND had their house fucking burnt to the ground... yet still they did nothing 💀 plus they have the least development among all parents and so while either of their deaths will harshly affect ben, lily and aiden: it won't have much effect on the audience tbh

aiden's parents are shown to be quite... rude and snobbish. very rich-people attitude lmao. but aside their arrogance they did let the other parents and kids group up in their house, so there's that plus point. sure theyre brash but they're pretty justified to be scared. but still idts their deaths will have much impact (lowk they give more comedic relief vibes)

so that brings us to our queen mariana 😭 and this is why i feel most scared: because there's a huge chance she's gonna be the one to die. because hear me out: she's perhaps the only parent who's got the most development + flashbacks (sure they were through the twins pov but still). in the present time too, she's still reeling in grief and ptsd + is severely depressed.

i for one don't think red would give that much development to a side character. sure u could argue it's actually for the development for the arcs of ty and tay: but then u can't deny that ep of tyler's trip to the hospital was meant to be an awakening moment for mariana. we see her finally resurfacing to the present after YEARS of hallucination, and we see her first steps as to accepting the harsh reality that ethan's gone and her children need her the most now. sure, nobody can deny tyler had been the caretaker for both mariana and taylor all these years: but i truly think seeing tyler in that state in the hospital is making mariana slowly come back to reality and make up for all the years she missed cuz of her grief.

and amongst all this heart touching character development, yknow what red could do to absolutely rip our hearts out and give further more pain to the kids as if they aren't suffering enough? kill off mariana. a woman who was slowly coming back to her senses, who was trying to overcome her suffocating ptsd, who was trying again to be there for her kids and accept the bitter reality of their lives—who else would be a better person to kill off than her?

because think about it: mariana IS the most vulnerable adult trapped in the phantom dimension. because unlike the banners or the fields, she doesn't know how to wield a weapon. and unlike any of the parents, she isn't in a stable mental condition, she's still drowning in grief and depression yet trying to overcome it: all of which can be insanely overwhelming. not to mention how she doesn't have anyone else to rely on, really, because all the other parents have their spouses at least. so she's basically the outsider in the group of parents :( top all of this off with being held hostage by some psychos while these murderous nightmarish monsters go around hunting down humans?

...yeah, she's in a HUGE danger zone. and i dont even wanna think about how this would affect tyler and taylor. like, i do realise all the red death flags point towards mariana, but do i really want it to happen? HELL NO. she's such a babygirl, whos burdened with unimaginable grief of losing her love, and now only wants the best for her babies 🥹 if red actually does this i WILL break down and defenestrate myself from my fourth storey apartment im not even kidding rn ☺💔

or, idk, red could just be a monster and kill off lily 🤠👍
