So this one of the project I’m working on! I love this movie so much and I don’t think it gets a lot of recognition

Imagine Sherlock as a rich country duke or something, who has lots of families after his fortune trying to marry him off to one bride or another. Sherlock however prefers scientific pursuits and only attends balls so he can dance and deduce things. He adopts a several little orphans so he doesn't have to worry about producing heirs. As a result he needs a tutor for all his little ones and is introduced to John, a respectable doctor returned from the war in need of new employ as a result of a shoulder injury. Sherlock hires John and quickly falls in love with him as do the children. And they make one big happy family <3
I've been reading a lot of regancy books lately and now I cant help but want some more johnlock regancy fics with john returning from war and being nursed back to health by the shy bookwormy vicar's son sherlock....
Sort of review-Captain Ingram's Inheritance-By Carola Dunn.
So I was reading this regency book and it is the bestest thing ever. It's called Captain Ingram's Inheritance. By Carola Dunn. Its about a Lady Constantia andher family and their love interests and the typical overcoming adversary.
Anyway the book is filled with some hilarious moments such as the aforementioned Captain Ingram bemoaning his inability to get a wife as he is now invalid and scarred as a result of his army service. He does this by basically flashing his best male friend.
Quote-he revealed a body seamed and knotted with countless scars, white and red and purple, from shoulders to thighs. "What woman will want me know?" He asked bitterly.
Roworth visibly steeled himself. "You appear to be..... er ..... intact where it matters."-
There is another character, an ill behaved lord Vincent who has a habit of pinching ladies bottoms. There are two really brilliant bits regarding him.
Quote- A startled yelp drew their attention to Lady Vincent. As pink-faced as her husband, she glared at him.She had evidently just been pinched, an aberration due to the drink, no doubt, since Lord Vincent generally confined his familiarities to anyone but his wife, whatever her fears.-
(It should be noted Lady Vincent earlier protests to sharing a room with her husband basically claiming him a beast who will want to have sex with her)
Moments later Lord Vincent tries to pinch a different lady but owing to his drunkenness ends up pinching Captain Ingram!
There are lots of funnier things although I don't want to spoil it all. But there is misunderstandings and scheming relatives and young ladies running away and the ending is simply hilarious!
Travis is no provincial wannabe, he is London through and through. He is dressed in a dark blue frock tailed jacket, complete with high waistline and standing collar, set off by a shirt featuring more ruffles than Liberace. Beau Brummell would be proud, then find it instantly distasteful for some reason, and then faint.
