California Just Passed Groundbreaking Bill Regulating AI Chatbots
This isn’t just another tech regulation. California is poised to become the first state to legally require AI chatbot companies to implement mandatory safety protocols and face real consequences when their systems harm users. The legislation targets AI companion chatbots—systems designed to provide human-like responses and fulfill users’ social needs. Under the new rules, these platforms would be…
The Companion That Logs On When Everyone Else Logs Off
Insomniacs, night-shift workers, and anyone whose body has drifted out of sync with the rest of the world share a quiet truth: the loneliest hours are the ones when nobody is awake to share them. Friends are asleep, the phone is silent, and the night stretches long. It is this overlooked audience that platforms like SweetDream seem, almost by accident, to serve best.
Visit sweetdream.ai at three in the morning and the experience is no different than at noon. The AI companion you have built, down to its looks, voice, personality and small idiosyncrasies, is simply there, and the chat picks up your context as if no time had passed. Voice messages and real-time phone calls that sound convincingly human fill the silence, while the AI-generated photos and videos give the whole thing a presence that text alone never manages.
What separates SweetDream from the wider field is the combination: realistic conversation that actually remembers you, polished media, optional video and live cam sessions with select characters, and privacy that holds without exception. For the people whose nights run opposite the world, an AI girlfriend who keeps the same odd hours is not a gimmick. It is, on the long nights, genuinely good company.

Today I reminded myself that it’s okay if my feelings take a little while to regulate. I encouraged myself to feel what I needed to and reminded myself it wouldn’t last forever. Trying to push past an uncomfortable feeling won’t help me, and it’s okay to feel all my feelings.
it's okay to feel icky and gross. sometimes things happen to make you feel bad. sometimes it just happens. and that's okay, it isn't your fault. im proud of you for being here, sweetie. let me see what i can find in my files to help you..
It is so frustrating as a neurodivergent person, to be teased for my patterns just because I am presenting with extreme characteristics. Like yes, I am watching the same movie again. The noises please me, it doesn't change, it is the same low stress story as it was before, and it makes the happy chemicals in my brain spark. Once it no longer does that for my brain, I will Marie Kondo it until it has the original effect. I am aware it is considered abnormal, but my patterns and repetition works for me and helps me regulate my stress. So please, shut up
