I'm dying at my desk thinking of Ben pointedly ignoring Caleb in a very exaggerated way

X’D Caleb catching Ben at just the right level of done-with-everything. Probably coming after a long, long night, or a short night that followed a long day. In any case, Ben’s Had It so when he wakes up, he’s not having it.

Ben not even looking directly at Caleb, just getting out of bed and going about his usual routines without so much as a word, going out of his way to have to navigate around Caleb as much as possible without actually acknowledging that he’s there.

At some point, he has to talk to someone...maybe one of his Dragoons, or Hamilton, and they address Caleb, and Ben’s faced with the choice to either keep up the charade (a little childish, perhaps, a bit petty, but...) or grudgingly drop it because he’s now forced to admit that Caleb is, in fact there.

He takes the third route of plastering on the most authentic look of alarm in his life and exclaiming, “Caleb! I didn’t see you, there, when’d you get back?”
