My newest bodice Ren Faire is complete! Absolutely the most complex construction I've ever attempted. The lining is fully boned, and I have a hidden lacing panel under the frogs.
The design is partially inspired by Landsknecht, specifically a set of wams I saw in an illustration with the petal panels.
Entirely self-drafted. Made the frog closures as well.
There are some funky areas that are a little bunchy, but I lost 30+ pounds between starting and finishing this. Wanted to keep the original cut intake in case I ever need to let it out.
Ren faire season's coming up and my bard needs new garb, that is if I successfully finish sewing everything in time. This redesign brought to you "dear god I do not want to get heat stroke while working again"

I'm not planning to wear any of my high-energy costumes like the Faun/Satyr or the Mushroom Fairy.
With TLAPD this week, I've actually worn pirate garb twice this week already, but it means my accessories are ready at hand.
The Mushroom Witch is something I haven't actually done before, but I have all the right pieces for it. I even have two choices: a brown color palette and a purple color palette.
I was a professional Ren Faire Faerie for over 15 years so I have a wide assortment of adorable fairy costumes, all of which are comfortable to wear at the Faire. (This holds true for the masculine costumes as well.)
I do not attend Ren Faire in civilian garb.
