i think it's important that everyone knows i read the first aftg trilogy thinking renee and allison were going to get together by the end of it. i legit thought they were canon. the one thing that got me into aftg in the first place was a renallison edit. i was never shocked about andreil i saw that coming from a mile away, but renallison not being canon?? not one time through my first read did i question it. i remember finishing the king's men and going "that's it?! no lesbians??!" genuinely flabbergasted
