i jsut wanna say that i hate that about shounen manga HAHAH. it’s repetitive and tiring and bnha is steering towards that. im mostly sticking for the characters ive grown to love immensely. but the plot is just… meh.
Yeah I totally agree with everything you said!! It tries to deconstruct some of the conventional shounen tropes but it doesn’t do it in a way that feels productive anymore? Like things are realistic but to the point that it hinders the story. Izuku can’t develop because he just keeps destroying his body and bodies have to have limits, for example.
And the tone just keeps descending into this super dark sad place that I just find exhausting. In a way it reminds me of HunterxHunter where it’s losing its fun and spunk due to the need to keep raising the stakes.
I love all the kids of 1A but I’d rather see random slice of life comics about them than whatever the plot is :T
