izana was a very possessive guy, everyone knew that. being with him was difficult but if you didn't love him so much you wouldn't be begging him to take you along yet again, not after he broke someone's fingers last time because they dared to mistake you for a servant. your housewife life of waiting for him constantly got boring at some point and you and izana were practically tied at the hip so you just didn't want to be apart from him anymore.

you felt like a child begging him the way you were but you just couldn't bring yourself to care. you knew for a fact how izana would neglect his health while working, skipping meals and not drinking enough water so what kind of wife would you be if you weren't there to look after him?
izana, humming thoughtfully: ...but i don't like how everyone looks at you...

you gave him the most pitiful puppy eyes known to man and izana finally relented, he couldn't refuse you forever. besides, it was a win for him either way, getting work done with his baby in his lap looking after him.

you hopped toward him pecking his cheeks then nose then lips before spinning and running off squealing to get dressed. izana was reduced to a blushing mess but that's another thing you loved about him, no matter how cold he may seem your kisses always turned him into a shy schoolboy so he just stammered out a weak 'go on then..' as he watched you retreat to the shared bedroom.
you know you promised not to doll yourself up but izana was the king of a kingdom, king of tenjiku, how could his queen not dress to impress?
you pulled out the cutest black dress you owned, frilly all over and glittering round the edges, single strap drowned in the beautiful silk rose topped with glitter. your eyeshadow was a cute sparkly silver tone, some concealer and foundation, eyeliner, mascara to highlight the beauty and length of your natural lashes, some clear lipgloss and finally, some grey contacts to enhance your cuteness. trotting out in your black heels that izana spent a fortune on you paused in the doorway grinning at him proudly at having completed your look so quickly, but izana? izana had frozen completely, eyes blown wide as his gaze wondered over your outfit, drinking you in.
the way the dress hugged your curves and your collarbone peeked out teasingly was enough to make him salivate. at first he wanted to scold you, to tell you to change into something that wouldn't make you look like a chunk of meat for the starved wolves that are his men, but why should he ruin your happiness, your proud smile, when he could fight? it was his kingdom, so he set the rules.
you linked your arm with his, giggling gleefully as he attached a small black bag to your wrist to match your fit, and led you to his black maserati. sliding into the passenger seat you put your seatbelt on because for people to get in izana's car without putting the belt on was one of his pet peeves. the car ride was short with the way izana was speeding despite you whining about your getting ruined because he loved hearing your voice even if you were just whining.
everyone's heads turned when you strutted in, izana's arm slung round to grasp your hip as he guided you to his seat. even kakucho, who never did anything that went against izana found himself stunned by your beauty and also by the fact that izana dragged you down onto his lap while commanding the meeting to commence as if it were only natural.
the meeting was boring, draining even, especially when you didn't understand a single word so it didn't take long for you to breech your promise of not distracting him and trailing your fingers through izana's snow white strands soothingly, causing him to let out a soft hum for your ears only before answering an inquiry raised by one of his men. of course you're the only one who thought the meeting was uneventful because why would izana let you catch wind of the tension in the air? he had purposely forced you to keep your face trailed on the wall behind him and your chin to rest on his shoulder so that he could glare the fuck out of anyone who dared let their gaze linger too long, eyes threatening to shoot lasers and his men were surprised he hadn't shot them yet.
you remained happily tracing his jaw, his neck and any other part of his you could see because although izana denied it, he loved your affection, loved your touch. by the time lunch came around, izana was ready to fall asleep under your soft hands but you grabbed his hand, tugging him along to his office to feed him the bento you made for him because otherwise, how could you call yourself a good wife?
