I went out the night before valentines- sunk somewhere between 8 and 10 pints with my friend and at last call, at 3am, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco.

I managed to make it home, I have no idea how but I was still fairly competent like I remember it all, stumbling down the street starting to feel a little nauseous. I jumped in a cab and then as soon as I got home, the motion sickness plus the sugary drinks were working together… my stomach was starting to feel so queasy, turning and when I got to the door I burped very suddenly. I basically ran up the stairs and stripped on the way to the bathroom, my mouth was watering so hard and fizz was splashing up into my mouth. I barely made it into the bathroom in time and it was coming up. I managed to get some recorded after the very first wave, where I almost didn’t make it to the toilet … we hadn’t eaten in hours so it was just, endless booze coming up in fizzy mouthfuls. The first ones were still cold, too.

I find the idea of melding together either really disgusting or really beautiful depending on the framing of it. Melding into someone in it of itself requires an incredible amount of vulnerability, opening yourself in order for flesh and thought to combine into something singular. Togetherness, inseparability in eternity.
