I wish there wasn’t a 10 image limit, because I want to talk about my fave makeup trend of all time which is whatever the fuck was going on with eyebrows in the 50s-60s.
Everything was really serving Spock. I feel like the brows of people like Tongolele and the brows drawn by fetish artists had to be part of the inspiration for TOS. It was honestly kind of hard to find images for this and these aren’t even the best examples, but!☝️ It illustrates my point well enough. I love midcentury eyebrow trends.
A bit unfortunately I notice this being a big trend in the world of exotica (genre spanning multiple mediums popular in the mid century which could often be a bit problematic). Still a major serve though. Divine’s eyebrows also come to mind, an extreme version of this already exaggerated style.
