“ As a strange arm-mounted projectile launcher materialized into her hands, it seemed too adorable for a weapon. With a large fluffy tail hanging from the back, Shiloh clicked her tongue as her ferrets began to climb her and load themselves inside the cannon.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls–today we have a special show in store just for you! Now, watch closely! Everyone who keeps their eyes on the ferrets will get their wish granted!" 

With a façade of cheer, she fired Niall at the face of an armored man with an eye patch, causing him to shriek as the ferret captain attacked. From the cannon, the recording of a ferret's voice played loud and clear. 

'Yippie Ki Yay–Cowabunga!!!' 

Once this was all over, their years of imprisonment would just be a bad dream.”

The Rosenites....

A group of people famous for their part plant and part vampire nature who typically live within the oasis of Arri. They are either born as Rosenites or can be turned, similar to vampires. The plants within their bodies helps them connect with the magic of the world around and exist in sunlight just like any other human while their vampirism gives them strength and speed. 

Water is their greatest weakness. Most Rosenites have difficulty with traveling on sea or land due to their strong connection to the ground. You can tell if a person is a Rosenite due to their red-green eyes and the short fangs in their smile. 

Naturally born sons are rare so the Rosenites usually consist of women. However, they do not worry about pureblooded nice since anybody can be turned and when they partner with a human or a vampire they will usually have a Rosenite child.

Known for their singing voices and their overwhelming power, most agree that to pick a fight with a Rosenite is to pick a fight with death.

“There’s no more food sis.” 

“Lemme look.” You said as you looked through the pantry. 

He was right. You’d planned wrong for this month and overestimated the food you had in stock. Only by two days but it would be enough to leave your brother unhappy for the next two days. The local baker and the local hunter would open up the shops with new meats and bread. The farmers sold off their extra potatoes around this time of year and anything else they had stores up and no longer needed. 

“Hope they planned for the winter rush.” You muttered as you thought about them. 

The real issue was which you would have to visit first. Either way you’d get up real early in the morning to beat all the other villagers for best pickings. The real question was who would be better to visit. 

Will you visit the baker? The farmer? Or the huntsman?

Pirate Prompt

You are the captain of a great and mighty ship sailing the seven seas and pirating wherever you go. However, you’ve grown tired of your pirating ways and have set enough money for you to retire. When you return to your little village you’ve discovered your sister plans to get married when her lover returns. 

You’re open minded about this marriage until her lover returns home. Her lover was once a pirate on an enemy ship. One that you thought had left no survivors...

You close your eyes and feel the freezing wind pull at the cloak wrapped around your shoulders. An icy figure takes your hand and pulls you further into the silver forest. 

“You are afraid.” The figure states. 

“Should I not be?” You reply

“...Keep that fear in your heart. Let it bring your power but be wary of it. Such a feeling can become overwhelming, especially in a new world.” The figure responds carefully.

The sounds of chimes and magic swirl around you as the first tentative steps are taken into this new world. At the motion of the mysterious figure, you open your eyes to see....

You step out into the cold winter, covered by a ruby cloak you stole from your grandmother. The journey was short, as the woods were practically your backyard. He said he would meet you here. 

In a week you were to be married to the woodcutter. He was a hardworking man but serious and believed the best way to deal with a situation was through violence. There was no love for him in your heart. 

A howl pierced the silent air and you turned to see the wolf. You hear a voice call out to you without a sound. Responding with a nod, there is no doubt in your mind about this choice. 

“Once you leave, there will be no returning.” The wolf tells you without making a noise. 

“I know.” Your voice echoes in the silver forest, “I made my choice long ago.”

“My world is a dangerous place compared to this dull magic-less land. Are you certain?”

The look in your eyes is enough of an answer for the wolf. He gives you a nod, you remove the silver ring of the woodcutter and drop the ruby cloak from your shoulders. You run with the wolf further into the snow white snow and never look back. You run to the world of Revaliir.

That old world remembers you as a fairytale. In Revaliir, you become a legend.

A secret note calls you from the walls of your castle out into the silver snowstorm. The wind whispers in your ear, beckoning you further. Flecks of ice hit your face as you begin to hear a voice.

Hello darlings! This year has been very interesting, hasn’t it? Things have been really rough for us this year but amazingly you all have made it through like a sturdy mountain. You all are the people who inspire the world to keep circling round and I can’t help but admire you. 

So lets give this year one last hurrah and move on to a better one! Celebrate like you’ve never done before! Stuff your face with all the delicious treats and dance to all the holiday music you love! And remember, you are a wonderful star and Revaliir truly loves you.
