She was cleaning when she found it.
She had grabbed a cloth from the small pile, surprised to feel a firm surface under the layers of rumpled fabric, but distracted enough that she didn't think anything of it. She turned to scrub at the interior of the pot she'd used for dinner, a bit of sand in the bottom to help scour the remnants from the soup she'd made, and for a time she fell into the simple routine of that task.
She almost forgot.
She'd finished with the pot and set it aside to dry near the open window, the warmth and the light breeze helpful for the task, and she'd turned around to leave when that sensation suddenly came back to her. The unexpected firmness.
She kept things arranged just so. It helped her work with one hand to have everything she needed to her right side. And they always went back in the same place. There should have been nothing underneath that towel. Had Revas brought something home, something she didn't want Nessa to see? Her lips twitched at the thought of her child bringing her another "gift," strange little things she'd found or assembled.
Nessa kept them all. A drawer in her room was dedicated to small bits of wood and smooth stones from the riverbed. Dried flowers and leaves strung together with delicate fibers. A piece of bark that Revas had passionately announced looked like a bird (Nessa couldn't see it, but kept it still. Sometimes she even squinted at it, trying to find the bird, before putting it back.)
If that was the case, she shouldn't look… but curiosity got the better of her. She glanced over her shoulder, confirming from the sight of little legs kicking rhythmically that Revas was still in the other room, just a bit of her visible from her preferred seat. She bit her lip, feeling oddly giddy; it felt like she was a child again, sneaking a look at something she wasn't supposed to be looking at.
Returning to the counter took only two short steps, and the briefest hesitation before she pulled the fabric aside…
i hate when i get emo about my own oc bc like what am i gonna do? look at my own fanart? read my own writing? hell.
Syl'tal has grown up 😭😭😭😭😭 can't wait for him to learn about his younger brother Revas being Rook
Incapable of talking about these normally so instead of making a 3km long post I made these
Vir'Revas
The Way to Freedom / Our Freedom
My Solvellan baby I've had since 2016. Remaking him in Veilguard made me super emotional.
And apparently named for Solas' personal Eluvian; Yes I cried really hard when I actually got to hear Solas say his name
Genuinely hope they use the same character creator for the Inquisitior as they used for Rook, with setting pronouns separate to gender.
I just made my Solavellan run Quiz, and let's just say, Solas isn't the only egg at Skyhold.
