I fully understand the appeal of reversing the bat family's ages and storylines and this is totally my own opinion but but it drives me crazy.
It might be part of my basically simping over Dick Grayson, but I feel like people forget, overlook, or ignore why the Robin line started with him.
Robin isn't just some random name that got pulled out of nowhere, it means something. It was the nickname Mary gave Dick and lovingly called him. The name Robin is such a huge symbol to me because Dick created it from the nickname his departed mother gave him.
I think that when people reverse the age and storyline of the Robins, they diminish the character of Dick because it removes the importance of the name, the reason Batman started having proteges, and so many relationships and impacts the Dick had and made.
