I never really understood how some fans could try and justify Anakin slaughtering Obi-Wan's entire family (painting the Jedi Order as evil/Anakin hating villians) for the slim chance of saving his own.

Like you want to save your wife and unborn kid(s)? Cool. You can only do that by massacring your best friend/father figure's entire family?..... Yeah, nop. I can put the blame of Anakin turning mostly on Palpatine, but we all make our own choices in the end. And in the end Anakin decided that his family's lives were more important than anyone else's even the man who raised him.

Even Anakin's final act of so called redemption was to save his own family. Fuck the lives of all those children I guess. (including the Tusken children and all the other groups of innocent younglings Anakin has slaughtered along the way). If only their last names had been Skywalker. Maybe they would have been important enough to spare.

The Jedi Order: inducts kids into the order young enough that they either don't remember or don't have time to form a solid attachment to their parents/previous families. Forbids romantic relationships, on the basis that the fear of loss could open the way to the dark side.

Also the Jedi Order: has the Master/Padawan relationship, where a Jedi can only have one padawan at a time, and the Padawan is trained for years and follows their master around everywhere, and the Master is considered the closest thing they have to a parent

I figure if I never watch past the middle of Revenge of the Sith then nothing bad ever happens and Anakin makes good life choices.

we’re not even five minutes in and all of our drinks are almost gone we have to be more picky about what we take a drink for
