No, it's not! But unfortunately a few pages have been leaked, completely out of context, and two of those pages in particular have people freaking out. There are four pages that I've seen. You can probably find them on Twitter if you search, but... Twitter is also a cesspool. I can send them to people who want, but I am working a lot today so it might take me a bit to respond to DMs :) I would just post them but I don't want to spoil people who don't want this info.

Hi! I never really understood the meaning of tropes so could you explain it to me? For eg. is art student a trope or AU (if you're writing for HP)?

hi lovely!! absolutely of course!! the way i look at them is tropes are things that can happen within the usual universe of whatever fandom you’re writing for, and AUs are things that wouldn’t necessarily be able to occur/wouldn’t fit in with canon, though these lines blur!!

for example, some tropes are fake dating, friends to lovers, sharing a bed etc and these can be believed to happen within the hp universe for example. on the other hand, some AUs include Royalty AU, Doctor AU, Modern AU etc, and these are ideas that couldn’t be perceived as “canon”, for example an AU where Remus Lupin is a doctor and has no wizarding tendencies, which is different from how/what he is canonically.

when i say the lines blur, this is where AUs can be believed to happen in the “normal” universe, so like being soulmates or roommates.

in hp, having characters as art students would be an AU as it differs from their usual universe.

however, i’ve seen both tropes and AUs referred to interchangeably, like Fake Dating AU or soulmate trope.
