I saw the weird camera cut to R White at the end of Chrissie’s speech about Robert cheating and it definitely feels like it could play into the theory. Not only is the cut weird considering she’s not speaking or being addressed (or that the camera sometimes doesn’t bother filming her even when she does speak), Chrissie’s words mention cheating which actually isn’t a part of the equation here since both Robert and Lawrence are single (but there is cheating involved if you think about the ONS) and of course R could have looked awkwardly at Chrissie, at Lawrence, at the floor, but nope, she glances awkwardly at Robert. So I do feel like it’s not reaching, to think this may be a clue. But it could also just be ED sucking at storytelling, which has not been unusual lately. Still gonna go with ‘this is significant’ until reality slaps me with a non-twist in the face.
Another issue I thought about as I watched yesterday’s ep is how freaking twisted is Lawrence? Have we all noticed what Robert “King of Seduction, 0% Failure” Sugden has been using in order to seduce this man? Murder. Supposedly as an act of devotion and love, but still. Murder. Lawrence shows hesitation in giving in to Robert’s pleas? Mention that murder yet again! Ronnie waited his entire life for Lawrence but did that get the old fart bag to actually be intimate with him or go after him when Ronnie left, make some sort of an effort? No. But then Robert comes along and declares “I’ve killed a man for you” and Lawrence is all hearteyes and breathy moans and other shit that makes me wanna die. Lawrence, you deserve everything that’s coming to you and more. I’ll be the first one in line for the champagne at your funeral.
