Nonhumanity and Pretty Privilege

As a transspecies squirrel, I want to get my front teeth modified to be just a little longer. I know I'd then be "unattractive", which I don't mind.

What I do mind is my pretty privilege. I'm not particularly conventionally attractive, but I need to stay "as pretty as possible" for my own sake. I'm disabled and I need to be able to get by in this world in any way I can.

I guess that's a reality I have to face in a society that values looks over most things. I want to be judged for me, not what this incorrect vessel looks like.
