Okay. I just came up with an idea, and I need your input, roleplayers of tumblr. I'm liking it because it's original, but it's building off of some other RPs I've seen floating around. (++ Roger Rabbit. Kindasorta.)
To put it simply: yes, it's another cartoon-real-people RP.
Is it that simple? Not exactly.
This is a more dark take on it, so to speak. Alright, so most characters in this story - at least, the ones directly involved with this plot - would be teenagers. They're split up by network (i.e. Disney w/Disney, Cartoon Network w/Cartoon Network, Nick w/Nick, etc.) for the most part (there can be small exceptions if there's a justified reason) into gangs. So there are violent gang fights that often break out.
(The gangs probably would just be Nick, CN, and Disney - the big three cartoon channels. Webcomic, anime, video game, other networks, etc, would be organized by where they fit best.)
At the same time, however, certain members of this group are experiencing pains at random times, showing them blips of their 'alternate lives' (basically, the versions we know and love). Eventually, they may become unstable entirely, regressing into their 'animated' form. That's when they become fugitives due to their unstable state and powers that they may or may not have.
So to put it simply...
- Toons are regressed humans. It's pretty much a defect, and it's often visible by a certain mark (Nick logo, CN logo, Disney logo) appearing on their body at birth.
- Toons have to control themselves so they don't 'revert' (making them dangerous) but often have instincts based on what they would be regardless. (i.e. heroes instinctively stand up for others, catgirls/catboys have cravings for fish, etc.) They're usually relentlessly mocked by normal humans and sometimes put into the gangs via the birthmark because they literally have no other choice.
- Toons that revert are considered dangerous fugitives who likely have to be killed. If they escape, they can likely - and some have - learn to control each side of their personality equally, making it kinda a transformation thing.
- There'd likely be an urban environment and a rebel group or something but I don't know this is probably dumb and confusing
anyway. If people actually like this I could start a roleplay thing but. I doubt that'll be the case haaaaa;;;
