I think everyone should play the romance route because it opens our eyes to how Takumi feels as a genetically created person

we are to believe hes in love with his childhood friend Karua when in reality thats not it, Karua is his purpose, his function, the reason he is cause that's how they wrote his story when they created him, its revealed in the truth route Nozomi is the reason Karua looks the way she does then its revealed in the romance route that Takumi says word for word

he cares about Karua because that is the way he was written when he was created

THAT BEING SAID Nozomi is the one who falls in love with Takumi, all of Takumi’s friends in different routes seem to like Takumi first, even go as far to say Gaku in the box of blessings when hes craving Takumi’s attention on how hes able to be the way he is and Gaku wants that, Kako admires Takumi, Darumi grows fond of Takumi and falls in love with him, Kyoshika in the slasher route kinda falls in love with Takumi.

I dont even have to talk about how Eito falls in love with Takumi.

my point is there's alot to Takumi's characters about love that we dont look deep enough inside of.

CAN WE HAVE A FLING WITH LELAND SINCE HE'S NOT AN RO

Okay, nonnie, I'm hijacking your ask to talk about a possible solution to the "Leland-problem". As you guys have probably noticed, Leland (the singer of Lines and Lies) ended up being pretty popular and folks have been asking for a chance to get romantic with him.

Given he's got a very small but important role in this story, which will not be fulfilled if I were to make him into an RO. However, I've also been reluctant to consider making him a fling because that would take the romanticism out of his side plot imo. Not that one night stands are inherently a mood killer--- I simply think Leland's side story would be more wistful if his and MC's relationship didn't progress to that physical level. Besides, he kind of strikes me as demisexual??? I'm not sure yet, I'm still getting a feel for him.

Anyway, I had a way cooler idea. I want to give MC the option to go on one (1) date with Leland. There's a reason why it'll only be one, and Leland is going to be very forward about it, so it's not like he's gonna be ghosting MC.

But after this date, he'll be gone for a long time, and MC's personal life and career will move forward very rapidly, so he'll fade out of their life very quickly. That way, it'll be all the more wistful and ruefully nostalgic when he makes his next appearance.

The date will be for MC alone, it will in no way impact any of the other RO routes. I honestly think it's kind of a genius idea. Lemme know your thoughts.
