Plenty of useful books at Flourish and Blotts. Jahil bought them, then planned on selling them to whoever would buy them. There was after all plenty; unfortunate students at Hogwarts. James had just blown a good amount of his weekly allowance his parents sent and would make it all back and then some. He saw Roman in the library and decided to make his move.
