Romasanta (The werewolf of Allariz) The first Spanish serial killer
“He sat there watching her and smiled, I’m going to eat this child!”
My latest YouTube episode (link in the end) deals with the ability of witches to transform into werewolves, and the theme of the episode is wolf in general.
I will borrow texts especially from Rolf Schulte (2009) and werewolf classic The Book of Were-Wolves (1865) by Sabine Baring-Gould.
In Finland, there has not been so many beliefs that witches have the ability to transform in to animals. Somewhat in the Lapland region, but otherwise it was believed at most, that witches had familiars, one of which was the wolf. However in certain areas of Europe, especially in heavily forested regions, a number of werewolves were tried and convicted as witches.
The wolf seems to have always had a connection also with war and soldiers, probably thanks to its fearsomeness, ferocity and predatory skills...However the concept of Wehr Wolf is controversial and it might not mean Werewolves-like often is claimed.
Wolves are elegant predators and highly social animals that form a tight, nuclear packs. A symbol of the wilderness and the predecessors to our domesticated dogs, these majestic creatures are still plentiful in rural areas all over the world.
What are your favorite werewolf films? I like The Wolf, Company of Wolves (above), & The Brotherhood of Wolf and Romasanta and 1940’s Wolfman (gifs below)

@spaceviking Happy birthday! :D Here are the dorks!
Scott is trying his best to look confident but he’s kinda dying inside tbh. The only thing distracting him is Antonio being adorable and blabbering about some weird show he saw on TV the day before.
It’s all going fine until he starts wondering how exactly Antonio got those scars on his face.
